A Clockwork Orange Alert Brings Home the Bacon

Anybody ever see the movie "A Clockwork Orange"? (A VERY sick, VERY strange, and VERY twisted movie plot that one was, imo!)

Bush says we defeated the Taliban, crippled Osama, and "liberated" the people of Afghanistan, right?

Bush says we beat the pants off Iraq's "Republican guard" (a worthy pun there, but it's NOT intended right now), we blazed the entire Iraqi army, crippled and captured Saddam, and "liberated" the people of Iraq, right?

Bush says we have hobbled the "terrorists," put them in their place, and we are winning the "war on terror" almost every single chance he gets, right?

Well....If we have beaten (or are beating) Bush's enemies so darn badly then please explain to me WHY (a clockwork) "orange alert" says otherwise!

Every time Bush opens his mouth to tell us how wonderful (his) the various wars are going, I am reminded of that 5 degrees of separation game with Kevin Bacon.

I will skip the 5 degrees part, BUT I am brought to the end scenes in the movie "Animal House" where poor Kevin Bacon is screaming "STAY CALM!" (and) "ALL IS WELL!" just as the screaming crowds trample him (and his message) underfoot with the facts.

Does this sound familiar anyone because the Patriot Act (1 and 2) say all is NOT well!

Orange alerts after "mission accomplished" signs are waved and Saddam is captured say all is NOT well! (And a whole lot more says all is NOT well either, and you all know what else I could list, but BuzzFlash is right on top of it.)

(Still, it all reminds me of that old adage, "Are you going to believe your lying eyes, or are you going to believe me!?")
