Take me to the lions -- I confess my crime of dissenting against Bush and his poaching wars, his invasions and evasions;

Take me to the blade -- I confess my crime of decrying against Bush's flagrant lies;

Take me to the noose -- I confess my crime of giving the benefit of doubt to the enemy of democracy and rule of law: the Bush administration;

Take me to the wall -- I confess my crime of believing in Bush's foreknowledge of, and complicity in, 9-11;

Take me to the lethal injection room -- I confess my crime of loving the Bill of Rights;

Take me to the gassing room -- I confess my crime of believing in fair elections;

Take me to the labor camp -- I confess my crime of questioning, in private and in public, imperial pursuits;

Take me to the doctor's lab -- I confess my crime of speaking truth to upside-downisms;

Take me to the tribunal -- I confess my crime of advocating due process and innocence until proved guilty, and of dissenting against this administration's Stalinist policy of a secret justice system for accused "terrorists";

Take me to Guantanamo -- I confess my crime of posturing against Either With Me's intentions;

Take me to sleep with the fishes -- I confess my crime of being a liberal and thus, an anti-American;

Take me to the freshly-dug grave -- I confess my crime of resisting hypocrisy and Patriot Actors;

Take me to the labor camp -- I confess my crime of balking at governance by euphemism, bribery, intimidation and unilateral fiat;

Take me by pill -- I confess my crime of refusing to waste time and sanity by listening to propaganda hacks Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity;

Take me by slow dismemberment -- I confess my crime of believing in equal rights for all;

Take me to the viper pit -- I confess I favor citizen over corporate rights, clarity and sustainability over rapacious greed;

Take me to jail -- I confess my support for the freedom of speech and the right to protest wrongs.
