Attacking the Attack Ads

Hello BuzzFlash and all BuzzFlash readers,

I sent the following message to the DNC. Thought you may want to see it:

So . . . the Right Wing again wants to claim the American Flag all for itself, does it?

Concerning a recently introduced advertisement from the Republican National Committee being run in Iowa, the ad appeals to the frothing base of the Right Wing by claiming "Some are now attacking the president for attacking the terrorists." It further states that "Some call for us to retreat, putting our national security in the hands of others."

Implicit in the above message is that it is Democrats who are weak and unpatriotic.

Notice the approach of the ad. It is a blatant attack on those of us who are critical of GeeDubya, but instead of outright calling us un-American, the RNC uses the term 'Some' so that they can back off of any criticism of Democrats if challenged.

This got me to thinking about how to respond. I call on Terry McCauliffe of the DNC to run a counter advertisement with any combination or all of the following pointed responses:

ALL of the following claims have been proven FALSE:
-THIS President claims to have attacked terrorism by invading Iraq.
-THIS President claimed that Iraq had ties to Al Qaeda.
-THIS President claimed that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction.
-THIS President claimed that Iraq had redeveloped a Nuclear Weapons program.
-THIS President claimed that Iraq is linked to the attacks on September 11.

What IS TRUE is that:
-THIS President has not captured Osama bin Laden.
-THIS President has not captured Saddam Hussein.
-THIS President has not 'Accomplished the Mission'
-THIS president has cost over 400 Soldiers their lives.
-THIS President has stonewalled and hindered the September 11 investigation.
-THIS President has stonewalled and hindered the investigation into the intelligence that he claimed led us to war.
-THIS President has not planned for the aftermath of war.
-THIS President has questioned the Patriotism of those Americans who oppose his actions.

Then, the advertisement should state that:

Samuel Johnson said about those who oppose dissent that "Patriotism is the last refuge of a Scoundrel," - April 7, 1775.

Then display a picture of GeeDubya, with an image of him leaning forward with that imbecilic smirk, and show the word 'SCOUNDREL' in BIG, BOLD letters below it.

Close by asking the pointed question:

"Do you feel safer with THIS SCOUNDREL in charge?"

Then sit back and listen to the Right Wingers howl!!

Let's fight back without mincing words and leave no ambiguity that GeeDubya is solely responsible for this mess.

We have nothing to lose other than 227 years of Democracy.
