is a letter that I just faxed to Mayor Michael Bloomberg expressing
my outrage at the latest lie coming from the Bush
administration concerning the air and water quality after the September
11th, 2001 attack upon your city. It is my hope that you will read

MacElveen cc: Mayor Michael Bloomberg and posted on the Internet * * * Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg To Mayor Bloomberg, August 26, 2003 I have written you before suggesting that you rescind your invitation to the GOP, which will hold their convention in your city next year. I am writing you once again in light of recent lie told to your city by the Bush administration. What I am referring to is where Bush administration bold face lied to the citizens of New York City concerning the air and water quality after the September 11th, 2001 attack. We wonder where is the outrage from you, Mayor Bloomberg concerning this matter. Well where is it? When will we hear on behalf of the citizens of your city, where you will stand up and say, "Enough is enough!"? As if Bush's failure to warn anyone, especially your city of these impending attacks wasn't enough, he was nowhere to be seen on that day where a frightened nation needed to hear from him. If the use of these victims for their convention isn't enough to insight outrage from you for them doing so, what will? I heard that today Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton expressed her outrage concerning this recent matter. As someone who was accused of being a carpetbagger by the Republican Party, she through her actions has defended your city. I
am asking you, Mayor Bloomberg will you allow this administration
to
get away with yet another lie? These lies and the failure to pass along
important intelligence warnings have done more harm to our country
and
your city. This man, this party does not deserve the red carpet
treatment coming from your city. What they do deserve is for you to Stand up for your city, Mayor Bloomberg and tell these liars they are not welcome in your city. Liars do not deserve to be rewarded. They deserve to be punished. So, punish them, Mayor Bloomberg. Sincerely, Mary
