Move Along, People A
BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY The White House has officially proclaimed the issue of the President's referral to forged documentation of Iraqi nukes closed. Move along, people. So, with that in mind, the following two items that were widely overlooked may be worth reviewing instead. First and foremost is an item found in MSNBC.com that ran on June 2nd. The title actually hides the big story it contains.
Considering the shocking contents, it should ACTUALLY have been titled, "REMEMBER 9-11? Documents show that Bush KNEW or SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!" The REAL story is that the CIA leaked information about particular documents called "Presidential Daily Briefings" indicating that Bush and his top National Security Aides had ample warnings prior to the terrorist attacks of 9-11, yet apparently the White House just sat on em'. The Administration has long been censoring this info from public access (citing reasons of "national security"), but the CIA posted the info about it on their website for the world to see. Maybe that's the real reason why George Tenet will soon be booted from his long-held CIA Director’s position (just guessing). Is this why National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice never faced Congress' 9-11 probe? This second article was published on the Boston Globe website. This time the title pretty much says it all.
Reading between the lines, these stories really aren't about faulty DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE, but the Administration's selective use of intelligence data for their own dire results. And C'mon. Realistically, just why would anyone falsely push us
into a war (or two)?
