BUSH: THE NIGHTMARE PRESIDENCY
(expanding on the George W
Bush resume)
BACKGROUND
THE CRIMINAL:
Arrested (no. of times unknown) for DUI and cocaine possession (erased
from his criminal record).
THE FAILURE:
Ran for Congress and lost. Bought an oil company, couldn't find
oil in Texas, sold all stock in company right before it went bankrupt.
Cut taxes, bankrupting the Texas government, plunging the state billions
of dollars into debt.
THE KILLER:
Set record for most executions by any Governor in US history.
THE BAD
PARENT:
The Drunken Bush Twins: Daughters Barbara and Jenna. Busted
for underage drinking in an Austin nightclub. Got Secret Service to
release a boyfriend from jail. Arrested for using fake IDs to order
a drink in a Austin restaurant.
PRE-PRESIDENCY
2000: STEALING
THE PRESIDENCY WITH BROTHER’S HELP:
Leading up to the November
election, Florida’s Secretary of State, Katherine Harris and
Governor Jeb Bush remove tens of thousands of citizens from the voter
rolls. 54% of those removed were African-American.
The Florida Republican party claims those barred from voting were convicted felons, but almost none were. In the 2000 election, Al Gore received over 90% of the African American vote for President, but "lost" Florida.
2000: STEALING
THE PRESIDENCY WITH FATHER’S HELP
Loses the popular vote by over
a half a million votes but still becomes president, thanks to a Supreme
Court decision against a Florida recount made by Bush Sr/Republican
appointees.
PRESIDENCY: SCREW EVERYBODY, EXCEPT MY RICH FRIENDS
SCREW THE
POOR & EDUCATION:
Cuts government funding for libraries, energy
research, Community Access programs, environmental safe guards, public
housing, workplace training programs, the EPA budget, child abuse counseling,
unemployment benefits and veterans benefits.
SCREW THE
ENVIRONMENT:
Pulled the United States out of the Kyoto Protocol agreement
on Global Warming. A measure signed by 178 other countries. Revoked
our agreement with Europe to cut our carbon monoxide emissions.
SCREW PEACE:
Violated the Comprehensive Test Ban treaty by planning "mini-nuke" program.
Started a new cold war with China after one of our spy planes knocked
down a Chinese plane, killing the pilot. Allowed the peace process
in the Middle East to crumble, resulting in renewed bloodshed between
Israel and Palestine.
Violated the anti-ballistic missile treaties of the 70’s with Russia by re-introducing "Star Wars" as the Missile Defense Shield plan. Defied UN human rights agreements, resulting in the US being removed from the Human Rights Commission. Cut off negotiations with North Korea to contain their growing nuclear weapons arsenal.
SCREW THE
LOWER CLASS:
Spent the "surplus" and then some on a trillion
dollar tax cut (2001). 43% of which goes to the wealthiest 1% of Americans.
Passed a 350 billion dollar tax cut which benefits the wealthiest 1%
of Americans. (2003)
SCREW WORKING
HARD:
Took off for vacation the entire month of August, barely 7 months
into his term. Setting a record for most days on vacation by a President.
SCREW THE
ECONOMY:
Over 2 million Americans lost their jobs in his first year
in office. All 50 states have a budget deficit. Presiding over the
biggest federal deficit in US history. Record for most private bankruptcies
and foreclosures in any 12 month period. Biggest drop in the history
of the stock market.
SCREW THE
WORLD:
Attacked and took over Afghanistan, even though none of the
9/11 hijackers were from Afghanistan. Had over 15 million people worldwide
take to the streets to protest administration’s policy towards
Iraq. Withdrew from the World Court of Law.
Launched an invasion of Iraq, a sovereign nation, against the will of the United Nations and the world community. First president in US history to order an attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation.
*The nightmare continues...
