Bush's "Splat" Tax Plan For The Masses A BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY When a person falls off the roof of a high building, an intelligent person understands -- on the way down -- that he is as good as dead. Only stupid people have to wait until they hit the ground to figure that out. It's called seeing ahead. Looking ahead, any rational person can see an economic train wreck of monstrous proportions coming to all but the ONE percent of the American people that Bush is helping with his tax cutting schemes. The rest of us are off the high building already, on our way down, and we are about to splat on the pavement. It's time to wake up and recognize what the hell is happening in America, to average and low-income earners. OF COURSE it's class warfare, and it's Bush who is waging it against everyone who doesn't make more than $200,000 a year. Bush is making war on the poor, because he hates poor people -- and middle-income people too. If he doesn't hate them, he is doing a pretty good job of covering up his concern for them. What will be the true result of Bush's newest tax cuts? Let's take a look. Somewhere between five and eight million American taxpayers will get ZERO benefit from Bush's tax cut. American families earning $10,000 to $25,000 per year "who don't make enough to pay federal income taxes but are eligible for refundable tax credits" will get nothing from this tax bill. Nor will their 12 million children get any benefit from this legislation. (See below: "Whacking the Waitresses") Estimates of the real costs of this tax bill in lost federal revenues range between $800 Billion and $1 Trillion. Three-fourths of America's families will receive less than Bush's fiendishly advertised "average" tax cut of $1,549, and a third of America's families will receive less than $100 in tax cuts. Dick Cheney is predicted to save $344,000 next year on his tax bill, thanks to George W. Bush's "Splat" Tax Plan For The Masses. Cheney gets a golden parachute to protect him from the coming economic disaster, the rest of us get a financial plunge off the high building. No parachute. Splat. How is that? you ask. We may not get as big a tax cut, but so what? I'll tell you what. As a result of this deceptively-advertised tax cut, state and local taxes will rise, fees for services will rise, new fees will be added, services will be cut; aid to schools, libraries and municipal services will be cut; property taxes will go up; aid to the frail elderly, the poor, the sick, the infirm, all will be cut. Social Security will be rendered bankrupt. Medicare and Medicaid will be rendered bankrupt. Healthcare -- already out of the reach of many -- will be unavailable for additional millions of Americans who will not have enough funds to pay the premiums. If you think you will not pay additional funds out of YOUR pockets (just to finance your life) as a result of this tax cut for the rich, you are dreaming. The evil, greedy Bushites want to re-create –- for themselves -- the court of the French Sun King Louis XIV, where one percent of the French people, the aristocracy, lived at Versailles in opulent splendor and the rest of the French people, the other 99 percent, lived in poverty and squalor. And, no, I am not exaggerating. We are on our way down, there is nothing but air beneath us and we are about to go "splat."
