The Bush Cartel Shell Game

Ever see those con-artists on the sidewalks who promise big winnings if you can "find the lady, find the queen!" It's called a shell game. These guys find a mark, ask the mark to lay down some money and if the mark can find "the shell" (the queen from a deck of cards or something else easily hidden from view) they win and double their bet. The thing is, you can never win this game. It's a big con. It's all sleight of hand.
Well, apparently our government is playing a big 'ol Shell Game with us. We've paid our taxes and now we've got to "find the reason, find the motivation, find the justification" for our unjust war against Iraq.
Okay. I'll play. Wow. Look how fast they move those cups around. Okay. Um....I'll say we invaded because Saddam wasn't sticking to the UN's rules. Whoops! No! I'm wrong! It's because he's connected with 9/11 and harboring terrorists who were involved!
Now you try! Go ahead! Step right up, step right up! Find the reason, find the justification! What's that? You pick that cup? Nope! You're wrong! It's not because of 9/11! It's because he had WMDs! Go on, try your luck, try again! This time you've got to win! Find the reason...okay! It's gotta be in this cup, right? Nope, you're wrong! You're Twice a Loser! It's because he gassed his own people, he's an evil guy and we need him to leave Iraq! That's right! Regime change!
C'mon, don't be shy! Put your money done and give it a try! Find the reason, find the motivation...okay...got yer money? Good...pick one any one...find the motivation -- you pick this cup? You're WRONG! you're a loser! It IS because of 9/11 (but not for the reason we originally said..hey).
Sigh. On the street, eventually someone calls the cops, because Shell Games are gambling and it's illegal, not to mention a nuisance because it attracts a crowd to play. The shell game con artists block the street and legal businesses are disrupted and lose out.
So. When will someone call the cops on this administration so we can disperse the dimwitted fans who crowd around? We really need a real Presidential Administration who will get back to doing the business of running the country and protecting the free world.
