Bombard the Baseball Hall of Fame A
BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY Buzz, In reaction to the steps taken by the president of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, former Reagan compatriot Dale Petroskey, who cancelled the "Bull Durham" celebration at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. later this month because of the anti-Bush comments regarding the Iraq War by the two stars, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, I wrote this to Petroskey:
I encourage all those who believe in the Bill of Rights to bombard the Hall of Fame with e-mail complaints at this address: http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/contact/email_info.htm Also, feel free to use the Hall of Fame's toll free number to express your outrage: (888) HALL-OF-FAME or 888.425.5633 Right-wing Republicans think that they are above the law and above reproach. However, they do understand hits that their pocketbook will take. BuzzFlash has a unique position to encourage people to inundate the Hall of Fame with e-mails, faxes, phone calls -- saying that they will encourage everyone to avoid Cooperstown in the future. Please encourage your readers to do so. We must strike at the right-wing with vengeance. In addition, I am going to organize an e-mail campaign to Major League Baseball and its commissioner, Bud Selig. The Hall of Fame is a separate entity, but anything that detracts from professional baseball is a concern for an industry that is starving for fans. Thanks for standing up for the Bill of Rights!
