Bush's Latest Flash of Genius, Try to Take Down a Thriving Islamic Democracy

In their latest 'Flash of Genius' Bush and company have today issued a 'warning' to Turkey that the US will not give billions of dollars to Turkey's thriving democracy unless it reverses its decision not to allow US troops to operate on Turkish soil. The Turkish stock market sank as a result of a Bush "warning" the other day.
So much for the 'democracy' theme as justification for invading Iraq.
Meanwhile in the White House ... Uhh ... mmmm ... hmnfh ... hmm ... hold on, just give me a minute to think ... Its terrorism -– no, that didn't work; OK, Iraq is a direct threat to US security -- no that didn’t work; Oh yeah, I meant international consensus - no that's not working; ... uh NATO –- no; ... uh Saddam must disarm – oh yeah, he's destroying his missiles; ... I got it! It’s democracy! – uhh, yeah, yeah, we just scratched that ... ... ... ... ... uh, tax cuts? uh, dig up some dirt on Clinton? Saddam's an abortionist? axis of evil? wait, wait, ...
