I think it's safe to assume that members of the press corps are reading Buzzflash, so I would like to address them in this letter:

Dear Members of the Washington Press Corps,
Congratulations for your spontaneous laughter in the face of Ari Fleischer's absurd and indignant statement: "You're saying that the leaders of other nations are buyable. And that is not an acceptable proposition." It certainly was refreshing to see Ari the Liar brought down a peg and rendered so speechless, for once, that he had to leave the podium.
But I, for one, am not laughing.
For two years, anyone with two brain cells knows that this administration is nothing BUT a Lie....the greatest Lie of all. And that Lie is: that Bush is a legitimate President who is "leading" this country in a way that will continue her safety, preserve her freedom, and provide a better future.
The Truths are:
1. Bush was not elected. He is not a legitimate President. And YOU, Members of the Press, ALLOWED him to steal the office of the President by not exposing the LIES you KNEW were apparent during his campaign. YOU KNEW he was unqualified, you KNEW the election was fixed in Florida, you KNEW a coup was in the making, you knew the "media" played the biggest role of all in that travesty of an election. Yet you didn't laugh Bush off the stage then. Nope, ushered him right into Our White House, your lips affixed to his backside the entire way.
2. Bush is not a "leader." He is a puppet. Cheney, Rumsfeld, "Poppy" Bush, Enron, Unocal, and the Almighty Dollar pull his strings. You KNOW that, too. Yet, you didn't laugh Ari off the stage during the hundreds of lies perpetrated on this country, through Ari, by the administration, the oil companies, the Pentagon, the SEC, and the pharmaceutical companies regarding our Social Security, our healthcare, our education, our environment, etc. etc. Nope, you let those lies just slide on by.
3. Our Democracy is dying, if not dead already, thanks to John Ashcroft and his felonious partners in the so-called Patriot Act, Patriot Act II (coming soon to a jail near you!), the TIPS program, the Total Information Awareness office, the INS, Homeland Security, and on and on and on, all in the name of (HUGE Lie here:) "the war on terror." You didn't laugh Ari off the stage when John Poindexter's name came up. Nope, you let all those lies just slide on by.
4. And lastly, we are on the brink of WWIII, thanks in part to YOU not exposing the LIES LIES LIES of George W. Bush himself, on the reasons why it is necessary to slaughter hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi families. Not one of you has asked the simple question: "How does the murder of innocent people BRING ABOUT PEACE? And we'd like SPECIFICS, Mister Bush, because frankly, you are a Liar and we know it and the American people need to know it."
YOU KNOW this war has nothing to do with "weapons of mass destruction" and much to do about OIL and the quest for Power, the New World Order (coined by Poppy, oh so long ago). YOU KNOW THESE THINGS, yet you haven't laughed Ari off the stage during the absolutely horrifying talk of assassinating other leaders, the use of nuclear weapons, the pending humanitarian crisis and utter chaos that the ENTIRE WORLD IS AGAINST when the illegitimate Dictator brings the world to war. Nope, you didn't laugh once. (And by the way, you've completely ignored the millions of people in this country and around the world who are against the war, who are speaking the Truth. Nice job.)
And here we are.
Do something more than laugh at Ari's lies. Are you brave enough, humane enough, to do more than LAUGH?
Try this: EXPOSE THE LIES, in DETAIL, before the cameras, in your "reporting," to his face, behind his back, in the newspapers, on TV, on radio...whenever and wherever you can. It's called "journalism." It's called "telling the Truth."
Otherwise, YOU, Members of the Press Corps, will be directly responsible, personally responsible, for the rest of your lives, for those hundreds of thousands of deaths, the destruction of the planet, and the unknowable darkness that will settle on ALL of us, YOU INCLUDED, if this war is not averted and the Bush administration stopped.
YOU. Yes, YOU.
We are not laughing.
