Bush's
Lust for War
BUZZFLASH
READER COMMENTARY
by Walter D. Rath Up until today, while it seemed that George Walker Bush and gang had
been just a little too enthusiastic about wanting to go to war, it
never occurred to me that this man may actually be more than just anxious
about such a possibility. He seems to have a bloodthirst for it.
How can one come to such a conclusion?
After reading about a new plan that's been unveiled by the Germans
and French, which they believe may both achieve our objectives of disarming
Saddam Hussein and do so short of having to go to war, the Bush administration
reacted very curiously.
In almost knee-jerk fashion, they immediately rejected in and became
livid about the proposal. Livid about a couple of peace-loving countries
trying to actually demonstrate some real leadership by trying to avoid
the unnecessary killing of innocent men, women and Iraqi children?
How dare them!
And then it occurred to me. The only reason for such irrational behavior
by the Conmander-In-Chief and his incompetent gang to react the way
they did is that they are dead set on a war with Iraq, and nobody,
nobody, mind you, is going to deny them their pleasure.
In
the late 1970's we had a president who admitted that he had "lusted
in his heart." In the 1990's we had a president who did more than
just lust in his heart, right there in the White House.
Now, we apparently have a president who lusts equally as strongly,
but apparently for something other than just sexual gratification.
In short, Bush exudes the image of a man with an overpowering lust....
for war.
