Think About Bush's Diversionary Tactics

BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY
by Cathy

BuzzFlash,

As demonstrations and protests in the US and around the world took place Saturday, the People reminded Bush that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Besides the obvious theme of 'No blood for Oil,' an equally powerful message stood out. That message to Bush said, "You will no longer ride roughshod over the American people. You will no longer silence us. You will no longer deceive and ignore us."

I am certain the huge turnouts alone forced Bush into high-level strategy meetings at Camp David all day Sunday.

And BuzzFlash has done a great job of informing us. They have been the actual axis of information for a long time. In fact, and at one time, BuzzFlash was one of FEW reporting sites on GW Bush when he threw his hat in the ring. From that time on, I considered BuzzFlash a credible fountain of information who dared to go where no other informationalist would go. Kudos to BuzzFlash! Their phenomenal growth is justified. I encourage every reader to send contributions to BuzzFlash in order to stay informed. Don't have much money? $5 is better than no bucks. Think of it this way... if ten people send $5, it adds up to a $50 donation. BuzzFlash needs the little donors, too! Note to BuzzFlash: post your address and watch the checks flow in.

Back on subject, it is a real a shame that Americans have to resort to turning out in such masses to gain a president's ear? At first we tried to rely on our representatives in congress to get our message through. They seemed to have their hearing-aids turned off. We also tried to convince media and journalists to do some honest, investigative reporting on why we were headed for an inevitable Bush "Showdown in Iraq." Instead, we were handed questionable poll numbers agreeing with Bush's stance. Murmurings from the people said otherwise, and it appears that those murmurings were right. The protest turnout numbers were also an indictment of the American media.

Snarl Rove will have a difficult time turning all of this around. But then, could this drive to invade Iraq be a Bush ploy to concentrate and divert American attention? What better way to direct attention away from the administration remodeling our government to their liking and against our will? We all know that diversion is the favorite tool of this administration.

Think about it.
