Shirley Smith: The Bull in the Bush GOP's China Closet
MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Excuse me? But, I think even the Chinese government can understand hypocrisy when they hear it. Has Pelosi ever attempted to go after the Bush GOP policies in Iraq? The invasion/occupation, the embedded journalists and the control of media in Iraq. As Pelosi seemed proud to say, accountability for those abuses were "off" the table. All we Americans are going to get out of China is a big belly laugh ... and, even if none of the above were true, Bush sold the US out when his Republican administration, like every Republican administration before him, ran up the US debt, and this time, under Bush, to the point that they had to sell it to someone. China, probably learning from other US policies during the years, also knew and understood about the leverage one has when owning another country's debt, China was more than glad to buy it.
Bush couldn't care less and should be eager to dump this mess on the next administration, as he hasn't done one thing to try and straighten anything out, especially the economically draining occupation of Iraq.
Some of us Americans are better at hard labor and some of us are better at making decisions. Republicans in government should do the heavy lifting only, and leave the decisions up to those who have the experience and intelligence to make the right ones, or know to use every opportunity available to insure they are making good decisions. The Bush GOP did the opposite. They knew what they wanted and fixed the intelligence to fit their goals regardless of the consequences. That's why we Americans want to see a sense of responsibility to the oaths of office, and we need to see law and order within our own US government when those oaths are tossed out as if they mean nothing. The US government alone is a crime scene of abuse by the Bush GOP administration for eight years.
When will we Americans be sick and tired of the debt, death, and destruction that a Republican administration always brings to this country ... with some Democratic Party support? They don't do it entirely alone. What this country needs before we can tell other countries how to run their business is accountability within our own government.
"Her views are like so many other politicians and western media. Beneath the double standards lies their intention to serve the interest groups behind them, who want to contain or smear China," it said.
Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said Sunday that Pelosi condemns the Chinese government's crackdown in Tibet and calls on it "to begin a substantive dialogue and to allow journalists and independent monitors into Tibet to find out the truth."

Again, let's spell it out for those in US government who still don't get it. Americans might as well face up to the fact that we will have to live (be stuck) with the Bush GOP's abuses of human rights, and their crimes against humanity in Afghanistan, Iraq, and New Orleans. How more abusive can an administration get when they invade and occupy another country for no other reason than to "liberate," them and murder and displace millions. Afghanistan was bombed when they knew bin Laden was hiding in the mountains. Up to five thousand unarmed innocent people were killed in that country right after 911.
And, New Orleans, well, just like the warnings before 911, Bush and his administration stood by and did nothing, and we Americans had to watch our fellow Americans die. As we all know, and for brevity's sake, I'm only mentioning the worst ones. The Bush GOP administration has shown no respect for Americans and our opinions, our good health, or our longevity, much less our Constitution, Bill of Rights, or US law.
Of course Tibet has suffered. It was such a special place and a window into the world's past before China invaded the region, if anyone was lucky enough to see photos before that destruction. The world has missed something when China destroyed at least four thousand Buddhist monasteries, which only added to the beautiful and mystic atmosphere of Tibet. And, many thousands of Tibetan citizens had to flee due to being invaded. Of course, that same Chinese government destroyed much of their own historical past as well during that time, which is called the Cultural Revolution.
Is there any difference between the destruction of Tibet and the destruction of Iraq, whose artifacts were either stolen or destroyed ... a country where four or five million people are dead and displaced, fleeing the violence brought about by the Bush Republican administration and their supporters? If there is a difference, what is it? When the US should be enjoying a 'golden age,' our economy is suffering and China has one of the largest economies in the world.
Pointing fingers at abuses of other governments around the world is a good thing if our own Bush GOP driven US government officials could do it with clean hands.
Thanks BuzzFlash,
Shirley Smith
