Shirley Smith: The Seeds of Rape Were Planted When Bush Was Put Into the White House

Crude thought, yes, but people don't want to face the truth today. Rape is a crime that goes along with the wanton destruction, sacking, pillage, and plundering of a place, whether it is in Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, or the US. And, we Americans have witnessed nothing but the destruction of lives and more since 911, when Bush first failed to warn the American people with what he knew.  

Sick, sick society and getting sicker as days go by without justice. What do we Americans have to do to get these criminals out of US government and prosecuted by US law? What do we have to do? First we have to get rid of a failed Democratic leadership. It's abominable that we have such a weak leadership at a time when the Bush GOP are in full criminal action against this country and every other country in the world. Well, they've been getting away with crimes without punishment since Nixon. Why should they stop now?  

We can't repeat their crimes enough times. People may seem surprised by this lack of interest by our so-called Justice Department, but when we think about all of the murder and mayhem caused by Bush in Iraq, and if the figures are correct (which they probably aren't if they come from the Bush GOP) almost five thousand military including our National Guard killed, and thousands wounded because of Bush GOP lies that have gone unpunished ... millions dead and driven from their own country due to lies ... when we think about the needless bombing in Afghanistan that killed four to five thousands innocent families, and the killing is still going on ...  when we think about all of the lives torn up and visually, we Americans saw people dying and many lay dead in New Orleans for days or even weeks, and their pain under the Bush GOP is still very much alive ... and, I'm not even mentioning the war against the American people through GOP legislation.   

Why would any rational thinking person think that rape, threats, or the killing of any American citizen would be any different? We are dealing with criminals. When we have to experience criminality in all three branches of US government, plus those who have been put into our judicial system for the purpose of violating US law or as a protection for those who do break the law ... why would anyone think that this Bush GOP administration and their supporters would give a damn about the rape of a young woman? Bush and his criminal cohorts have promoted, appointed, and awarded thousands of companies and people during these last seven years ... and every American citizen will eventually have to pay for their crimes in some way.   No one, who can't be bought off, is safe under the Bush GOP administration. No one.

Jones, now 23, says that after she'd been raped by multiple assailants in her room at a KBR camp in the Green Zone, she was warned by company officials that if she left Iraq for medical treatment, she'd be out of a job.

To date there has been no prosecution of the men who Jones says gang-raped her.

Jones' congressman, Ted Poe, R-Texas, also testified at the hearing and told the committee how he has not been given any answers as to the status of the investigation by DOJ or the State Department.

We will not see real law and order in this country until those in the highest offices of this country are impeached and prosecuted according to US law.  

And people have the audacity to think this country is under God? Whoever said there's hell on earth evidently understood the Bush GOP of today. The Bush GOP have created a hell for the citizens of the US through their election fraud, lies, war crimes, etc. We could throw the book at them. Anyone who could possibly think this Bush GOP would give a damn about the rape or killing of any woman hasn't been reading about all of the crimes being committed in Iraq. We had military and National Guard females dying in their sleep because they refused to drink water due to the fear of being raped when going to the US military latrine at night.   

There are so many crimes that have been committed by this Bush GOP administration, and the fact that Bush is in charge of "protecting our Constitution and Bill of Rights" is no longer anything to laugh about. It's years past the time for real justice. Until this nation gets a backbone and impeaches and prosecutes the criminals at the top of this government ... there will be no law and order or justice for anyone.  

Every American citizen who believes in law and order must never forget these crimes that have been committed over and over again by this illegal Bush GOP administration and their supporters. Violence begets violence. Why is that so hard to understand?

If this nation is to ever become a working democracy again, it has to start with justice for all, and it has to start at the top.
