A Message from Jerry Falwell to BuzzFlash Telling Christians to Vote for the Heathen GOP Leaders

A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

BuzzFlash is forwarding the following "personal" e-mail from Jerrry Falwell. (It’s for real, not a satire.)

What’s so morally totally reprehensible about it is not that it urges a "Christian" vote for Republican leaders in a partisan fashion, which is disgusting in and of itself. Rather it is that it still holds out to the fundamentalist base that the Republican Party is Godly and morally sound.

Now that we have daily proof of what hypocritical creatures the Republican leaders are – from adultery, to covering up for pedophiles, to torture, to illegal corruption, to lying, to unethical behavior… and the list goes on and on, endlessly – Jerry Falwell still holds out the Republican leadership as "Godly." He encourages his troops (sheeple) to vote for morally tainted individuals.

This is world class hypocrisy in and of itself.

Falwell, like the Republican Party itself, will sacrifice morality, God and his country in order to hold onto the power base he has built – and his money collecting machine that grinds on at a greedy pace.

You see, whether you are a "right wing" celebrity pundit shill "man of the cloth" or a White House Republican loyalist, the only priority is maintaining your power base, even if it means betraying morality and the God from which you claim that you receive your "authority."

This isn’t about religion for Falwell; it’s about being a powerful man who can raise boatloads of money.

Don’t forget that.

He’s just another GOP hypocrite, leading his flock to vote for a bunch of Bible betraying, unethical, pedophile protecting con men and women.

[From here to the end is the actual e-mail received by BuzzFlash from Jerry Falwell on October 27, 2006]

It’s Time for Christians to Get Out the Vote

Daily media stories are full of doom and gloom for Republicans. If we are to believe these election accounts, the GOP is in an out-of-control downward spiral that cannot be fixed before the November 7 elections.

I don’t claim to be an election authority, but I’ve been around a long time and I have learned that the polls and the pundits aren’t always right And I think the pollsters may be off target in terms of this election.

My primary reason for believing this is based in my relationship with the so-called "religious right," or the old Moral Majority.

I don’t believe the polls accurately depict the preparedness of the conservative Christian community to vote. Sure, I think the recent Foley scandal and other government indignities have discouraged some, but when you get down to brass tacks, these controversies don’t alter our core values.

Christians continue to want to elect those candidates that best reflect their biblical values and support the issues that have defined our movement since we swept Ronald Reagan into the Oval Office in 1980. Our values have not changed.

As Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, says, "The right to life and traditional marriage are not wedge issues, they are winning issues. Values issues are not distractions from the business of governing. They are central to the survival of our republic.

If Christians were a little complacent about the approaching elections, I believe this week’s New Jersey Supreme Court ruling, that the state must tender rights of marriage to homosexual couples, has rejuvenated our constituency.

This ruling is a striking reminder that many of our nation’s jurists have jumped on the politically-correct bandwagon and are attempting to force their will on the people. We simply must elect lawmakers—whether Democrat or Republican—who seek to protect traditional marriage and the unborn.

Our laws must not be determined based on social whims.

I read with interest this week that Sen. Hillary Clinton said that her outlook on homosexual marriage "has certainly evolved."

This gives Mrs. Clinton, who has previously said that she does not support same-sex marriage, a political out. She can simply "evolve" into what she needs to be in order to recruit the voters she thinks she needs.

"Oops! I evolved."

When one’s core values are swinging in the wind, they’re certainly not worth a whole lot.

I don’t believe the conservative Christian community—whose core values are deeply rooted in the Bible—are ready to allow fickle politicians to determine that traditional marriage is suddenly obsolete.

So that brings us to the November elections and the key question of the day: Will the "values voters" show up at the polls?

It is imperative that we do.

I am urging Christians across this nation to study the candidates and the issues and then go to the polls to vote for those men and women that best reflect our values.

This election is far from over, even though many pundits want us to believe it is.

Let’s get out and vote. In the seven states where there are marriage protection amendments on the ballots—Arizona, Idaho, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin—I urge Christians to make their voices heard.

Pastors, this Sunday, encourage all of your parishioners to be at the polls on November 7 to accomplish their Christian responsibility. Let’s prove that the "religious right" continues to be a very significant voting bloc.

False Prophet of the Church of Fascism

I have a question I would love to ask of all the religious wingnuts. If their mythology is true and Jesus decided to come back tomorrow, how do they think George W. Bush and his demonic administration would react? A) Would they allow a peace loving, liberal, hippie to make peace on Earth and all men and women to be equal? OR B)Go to war with God to maintain their power, control, and fortunes? They know the answer would be (B)! So my next question would be... Doesn't that make him the Antichrist according to their mythology??? That same mythology would also label a psuedo-religious leader, like Falwell, who supports their "endtimes" boogieman as a "false prophet." No wonder they call it a "flock!" These people are sheep!!!

That's easy

They would crucify him.

Division

The struggle is not between sectarian an secular paradigms but between forms of tyranny and liberty. It always has been.

Morality

Morality can be found in people of all religions and of no religion. No one group has a monopoly on morality or integrity. The so called Christian right doesn't seem to me to be espousing Christian values. You know, forgiveness, charity, kindness , humility. Those values. When a man asked Jesus what he should do if attacked by an enemy , he was told to turn the other cheek. I have not heard that from any of the Religious right.

Three Points to Ponder

1. It's the hypocrisy stupid. Liberty University has enjoyed millions of dollars from the "faith based" initiative. If memory serves me right; after THEY GOT THEIRS, the faith based initiative became a laughing stock and was left to linger, de-funded by those who laugh at the "stupid" religious base.

2. Isn't the definition of "unborn" meaning that the person has NOT YET BEEN BORN INTO THIS WORLD? I suppose if you wish to extend your political control over this class of entities... you must deem yourself to be GOD first, so you can CONTROL the SPIRIT WORLD.

3. Doesn't THIS EMAIL ITSELF PROVIDE THE EVIDENCE THE IRS NEEDS TO PROSECUTE THIS POLITICAL INSTITUTION FOR CLAIMING TO BE A CHURCH AND ENJOYING TAX BREAKS MEANT FOR CHURCHES AND CHARITIES?

HELLO? ANY TAX AUDITORS OUT THERE?

Christians - not your Right Wing anymore

choicelady

The diatribes against the RW Christians are entirely accurate and well earned by them all. But thanks to media indifference and popular ignorance, the fact that the MAJORITY of Christians are progressive, thoughtful, socially activist, and dedicated to inclusiveness and diversity has gotten lost.

Remember us? We started with abolition, fought child labor, stood with working people for union rights, ended Jim Crow and segregation with MLK, Jr., worked in the fields with Cesar, and drove women across state and national lines before Roe. We're there to support GLBT events and issues. We honor all men, women, and children as our brothers and sisters.

We've never gone away - we just kept on keepin' on - and you aren't paying attention to us at all.

So the idea that the only moral people are pagan is absurd. Progressive Christians - who outnumber the religious right - are standing there all around you in part to make the world SAFE for pagans as well as everyone else. If you don't know that, you got brainwashed, too, right along with the True Believers.

You want a movement that takes back America? Open your eyes and take a good, long look at the folks who've been all around you. If the media won't pay attention, that doesn't give you the right to do the same. Who do you think feeds the homeless then fights for them in City Council? Who hugs and counsels women it's OK to get an abortion, fights alongside GLBT kids for their right to a 'Day of Silence' in the schools, gets busted in front of Congress to protest torture? Who is getting gunned down in Third World countries for standing up against child slave labor, for the rain forests, for the rights of indigenous people?

People of faith, that's who.

PAY ATTENTION because we've been out here longer than you doing what needs to be done, fighting for those in need, and clamoring at the legislative doors for moral budgets and moral economics. You think you're in the lead? You're just beginning to catch up. We never went away.

See you on the steps! On the street corners! In the fields! We don't care if you're in the pews. Your soul is your own business. Don't believe n God? Who cares - so long as you believe in social justice! We don't convert, we mobilize. We don't evangelize, we agitate.

So before you think you can tar everyone with one brush, think again. WE are the people Jerry Falwell hates more than anyone, because we put a major lie to his screed.

Join us. Know your enemy. We ain't it.

Speaking of broad brushes

Choicelady

It seems as if you've painted everyone who doesn't believe in your Bible or your God a Christian attacking, heathanistic Pagan.

Since there is strong evidence that God was created by man, and that all religion was Pagan before the idea of your Christ came about, maybe you should get off of your moral high-horse and realize that your altruistic tendencies amount to self-obligatory, Hell-avoiding acts of decency. I commend you on your decency.

But just because some of us believe that God was created by and for the Godless, for the purpose of softening the opposition to their power, doesn't mean that we ourselves are unprincipled. It doesn't take a Messiah or a prophet to understand that, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," should be the true golden rule governing society.

I'd like to offer a scenario for consideration by Christians. After 9/11/2001, if we, as a country, had done what Jesus had instructed, and turned the other cheek, how different a place the world would be today? Do you believe that our support from the nations of the world would have been squandered as it has been? How might that support have been used to make us safer in our own country?

Unfortunately the "Moral Majority" in our government didn't adhere to Christian principles, and instead perpetrated an aggressive act 200 times greater than 9/11, if you go by the civilian body count, on a nation that had "nothing," Bush's own words, to do with the attack on us. How does that make you feel? Do you feel vindicated? Or like myself, do you feel horrified at the outcome of the audacious actions of our government? I tend to think that Jesus would feel the latter. Where does that put your relationship with your Saviour?

If you do feel vindicated, please show me the scripture in the Bible where Jesus advocated revenge! I believe that God said vengeance would be HIS, not YOURS. If you want a true Moral Majority, you have to vote for moral people, not Republicans or Democrats.

Please visit my website for some wonderful educational links: http:/webpages.charter.net/albanez77/

Sincerely,
Alan

Alan....

I have to go with Choicelady on this one. You talk of evidence that God was created by men, but let';s be real here. Just as nobody can prove the existence of God, nobody can prove that God does not exist. To believe there is a god or is not is purely a matter of individual choice. The establishment clause in our Constitution guarantees us that choice.

Often in my day to day life, I ask myself, "What would Jesus do?" Would Jesus have attacked Iraq, a country that had nothing to do with 9/11? Would Jesus have approved torture? Would Jesus have favored giving millions to billionaires while the poor sunk deeper into their poverty? I say NO!

Jesus' primary concerns were that we love one another and help the poor. He was known for associating with society's outcasts. he treated all with kindness, except for the religious hypocrites, the pharisees and Saducees: the people who insisted that everyone else should live by their piety codes. Those same people are here today. They are the Falwells, Dobsons, Robertsons and others who behave just that way, while supporting war, torture, and corporate welfare. I think they have another God, since they certainly are not following Jesus.

Not all people at BF attack all Christians, but for those who do, I hope you remember that some of us are on your side. Jesus was the greatest progressive of his day.

Christians.

1. If you're not actively denouncing the rightwing Christians as unChristian, you have no one to blame but yourselves for who we define as Christians.

2. All the major religions are sexist. End of story. Ever wonder why God put nipples on everyone's chests? Maybe to remind everyone we are made in HER image. Is that in your teachings? No? Next.

Reprehensible Radical Rightwing Republican Religiousmoners

Religion is pabulum for the soul. There are four hundred or more religions in the world each with their own God to obey to insure an afterlife and how do you pick the right one when both Islam and Hindu religions outnumber the eighty or ninety Christian religions with the occasional Kool-Aid drinkers thrown in.
Can anyone actually prove they have communicated with someone when they pray? Can anybody prove that they have had a prayer answered by the person they prayed to?
Any proof in the last 4.5 billion years that someone has gone to Heaven? How does Jerry Falwell continue to have credibility when he stated that abortionists, homosexuals and Clinton were to blame for the destruction of the World Trade Center because God told him so, and still recommend to his congregation to vote Republican to retain the most corrupted and incompetent administration the United States has had in its entire history?
Churches who actively participate in the political process must pay taxes just like the rest of us, and that is what the law says. If Jerry Falwell tells his congregation to vote Republican, it is a political force that must pay taxes and restitution for all the years it has been doing so and have his tax free base revoked immediately. Why isn’t our Attorney General doing something about this flagrant violation instead of spending 100 billion dollars to spy on us, read our mail, arrest medical marijuana patients, deny marriage to people who love each other because of who they are, and help to create a dictator for the office of United States President?
Many of our most prominent religious leaders who want their fanaticism legislated have said the president got his seat because it was God’s will or something close to ridiculous and that is just one of the reason we are in a war with Iraq and Michael J. Fox will not see stem cell research or our children receiving an appropriate sex education instead of Bush’s totally useless Abstinence Education where the children are told to vote Republican or RU486 on our grocery shelves or reproductive freedom and the list just keep getting longer and going on and on.
We need to get religion out of our lives; they are the real terrorists. Can we get them out of the White House and stop the pollution of our freedoms?

On Falwells letter

All that can be said is this: Heard them up, put them on box cars, dump them in the desert and let them die. Screw the christian hayseeds and closet bigots that they are! They all deserve the same fate as the one they so fervently worship. If they wanna be martyrs like other radical religions; if they want to force their god on me and my family I'd like to suggest that someone haul them out of their churches on a Sunday and stone them and or crucify them in the streets. Why? Because they're more than willing to do it to me. Nothing would make me happier than seeing the end of organized, fundamental religions. Especially American christianity. What sick nation allows people like this a voice? Oh, right... "Only in America." Where speech is free as long as you speak the word of the republican madmen.

I know my premise is harsh and quite frankly it is in jest. But think for a moment how much better the world would be if we could just get rid of all of them. There'd be no wars. You can't fight for god if there isn't one. There'd be stem cell research because god wouldn't be designing policy. There'd be birth control, safe sex, acceptable premarital boogie-woogie and lot's of land for new homes for those that can't readily afford them. After all churches take up alot of land that they don't pay taxes on.) There'd be health care. There'd be education. There'd be peace.

Stop christianity in America and you might save the world. I implore all atheists, agnostics, nostics, pagans and otherwise to protest in front of all churches after the November elections. If PETA can throw pigs blood on a rich woman in a fur coat, then so to should we dumping blood on every church parking lot in America. These people are the reason America is where it is. It's time to seperate them from the truly moral, otherwise they'll be hearding us onto box cars and sending us to be gassed. It is their stated goal after all. They want to destroy the world. They say it everyday but no one listens. No one cares. They are more dangerous than any other faith in North America. Why? Because their waging war against us all. On our soil.

Save the world. Tell a Christian they're an a$$hole.

Jerry Falwell urging Christians to vote for GOP....

I can sum it up in a few words, and this e-mail from him proves it once again, that;

"The religious-right, and the Moral Majority, are NEITHER!"

The one thing that really gets me, that these hypocrits seem to miss, is that this country wasn't just founded on the pricipal of Freedom of Religion, but the Freedom FROM Religion!
That they(Falwell,Dobson, Phelps, ET AL) would want America to be a Christian theocracy, shoving THEIR views of morality, if not THEIR religion down the rest of our throats, proves just how un-Christian they really are!
When they get up and speak about how this should be "God's Country", it proves how little difference there is betwen them, and those who want a Muslim theocracy in places like Afghanistan or Iraq.

When will they learn?
When the Earth is destroyed, not by God, but by their own hand?

I hope not!

Christian Politics as Seen and Heard in Ohio

Just the other day, we were treated, in a Cincinnati exurban church, to an hour-long rant by David Barton, a little known Texan Christian historical revisionist and founder of Wallbuilders. Barton was hired by the RNC as a political consultant in 2004. Last week he was stumping in Ohio on the errant premise that the Founding Fathers established the country as n a Christian Nation.

Of course his presence in Ohio wasn't political . . .just because Ken blackwell got his turn on the pulpit, Bible in hand, gargantuan Blackwell For Ohio bus standing outside. No political plan here. But where was Ted Strickland?

We have personally witnesses the Christo-crats for over a year and a half, both around Ohio and at "The War on Christians Conference" in Washington. The leaders of this 30+ year, well organized well-funded political movement are nothing less than Fascists. The most frightening thing is how effectively they are infiltrating, and in many places, controlling politics from school boards all the way up to the halls of Congress.

Buzz, another case of IOKIYAR

Buzz, that old fart has shown the world what a fake and and what a fraud he really is. No matter what, Republicans can get away with anything, including murder, and they walk away clean after asking Jesus to wash their sins away.

Yes the same people who lied any lie about Hillary killing Vince Foster let Laura Bush off the hook for killing her then-boyfirend in cold blood. In fact, they cover it up. Jesus forgave dear Pickles.

The same Republicans who crucified Democrat Gary Condit are the same ones who cover up Joe Scarborough's little problem with Lori Klausutis. Once again. Jesus forgives Joe. In fact, Jesus forgave him so much he's got his own TV gig now.

The same Republicans who demanded the impeachment and crucifixion of Bill Clinton for lying about oral sex are the same ones who cover up for a president who lied us into an illegal war that killed hundreds of thousands of people. Remember, Jesus forgives our Godly President who has his "Presidential Prayer Team" PREYING, er, "praying the vote" and forcing kids in Jesus Camp to worship the cardboard cutout likeness of His Ass-Holeyness, Christian Emeror George the First.

Those same Christians who BS about defending the "right to life" of Freddy and Freida Fetus forgave George W Bush when he forced his then girlfriend to have an abortion. Yesiree, we can't have Abortion in Christian America, Buzz, unless you're a Rich White Republican who got his mistress "into trouble".

Those same wonderful Christians are also out in force defending that exemplary man of God Don "I Choked My Mistress" Sherwood. Yep, just think what would happen if a Democrat beat his mistress, of course a Democrat will go to hell.

Buzz, if you watch Jesus TV, you even see folks like Paul "I Did the Wild Thing With my Bodybuilder Boyfriend" Crouch calling for Forgiveness of Mark Foley.

And don't forget Marky Mark's best buddy James Dobson who still alleges that Man of Gawd Marky Mark was set up by the Funky Bunch. Marky Mark did nothing wrong according to Dr Doxie Beater Dobson. He just wanted to perform some "special ministries" with those hot young studs. I'm sure Marky Mark wanted nothing more than to have young boys at his flat watch Bibleman or Kirk Cameron "Left Behind" DVDs.

Oh and last but not least, the Same Republicans who lied about Harold Ford taking money from porn producers are awfully silent when their party chairman, THE LIVING KEN DOLL® takes a whole lot more money from Nick Boyias, the biggest producer of gay porn films in the US (Think I'm kidding? Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo has all the details, folks, go read Josh's article!)

Buzz, this is why I refuse to waste any time with churches. All they do is lie any lie for the Republican Party. I refuse to fall asleep in a church pew being forced to listen to Republican propaganda. I'll stay in my comfy bed instead and sleep in.

The time has come to tax all churches. If they want to play, they got to pay. Besides, think of all the tax relief that would go to the needy once these Jesus Welfare Queens are kicked off the "faith-based" gravy train. Make them "RENDER UNTO CAESAR" all that money they fleece from their flocks.

Great post

And I'll be looking up that Josh Marshall report on Boyias!

Just one clarification on Joe Scarborough. Condit had an affair with a woman who was murdered. There is no evidence Joe had an affair with Lori Klausutis, but he definitely and immediately lied to the media in order to squash any similar media frenzy with Lori's death, which happened around the same time the media was hounding Condit.

I sourced three media outlets whose news producers confirmed they heard from Joe himself (until his media person took over because Joe was throwing so much crap on the wall that could be disproved, such as Lori had diabetes, that he was overdoing it.)

Joe also told Lori's grieving family that the media would make a circus out of Lori's death, so that they bought the idea that the *media* was lying about Lori, instead of simply repeating the then-congressman's lies to them. As a final red herring, to this day he dismisses the online investigators as accusing him of murdering Lori.

No one ever did. Lori was murdered. Indisputably. What Joe did was to fix it so the good ol' boy police didn't investigate it as a murder and he lied to the media that she had "health problems" which she did not.

Thank you for remembering Lori...but the thing Joe needs "forgiveness" for is not the same as Condit, even tho Joe was definitely an adulterer who abandoned his wife and sons. But not with Lori.

Zee, here's the link to Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo

Josh has done some GREAT work uncovering all the scandals going on!

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/010647.php

It turns out that the Republican National Committee is a regular recipient of political contributions from Nicholas T. Boyias, the owner and CEO of Marina Pacific Distributors, one of the largest producers and distributors of gay porn in the United States. This recent article on Marina Pacific's new marketing campaign form XBiz, a porn industry trade sheet, notes that, in addition to producing its own material, the "company acts as a distribution house to hundreds of lines, mostly gay, 40 of which can be purchased only through MPD."

The company actually seems to be a trendsetter in the industry. As Boyias recently noted, "We have always modeled ourselves after a Fortune-style company. They are the models of exceptional customer service. We have formed strategic alliances with our vendors and customers alike, offering them tools and marketing to assist them in succeeding with their business models. Our one-on-one interpersonal relationships have never been duplicated in the distribution industry."

Some recent releases include "Fire in the Hole", "Flesh and Boners", even a "Velvet Mafia" series.

Well, Zee, I wonder what ol' Fat Ass Falwell thinks about THAT!

too much!

"Flesh and Boners." I hate to say it, but as a punster myself...well, it sounds CUTE, even if I wouldn't care to *view* it!

Thanks for the link. Josh Marshall is so completely to the point.

Also, what is with these log cabin thugs delivering so much money? Is it because they have to buy their way in, or what?

I'm with zee but I think i'd

I'm with zee but I think i'd view it. As for sex, porn etc i'm all for it i really think we all enjoy sex i mean humans and dolphins are really the only things that have sex for pleasure. And well don't we all like to be happy? So I was in the UK for a bit and checked out these london escorts and had a great time while there as well. Went to church sunday with a smile on my face.

Tax The Damn Churches

patvic1405
This letter is a perfect example of why churches should lose their tax-exempt gravy boat. It proves beyond a doubt that church pulpits are being used for political purposes. Falwell should be the first to lose his golden goose. Want to fix the deficit real fast? Tax the damn churches! In fact, let's just ban religion. It's harmful to your mental health.

You're acting just like them

Individual churches that violate the law should lose their tax exempt status, and in my opinion, the rabid religious right has violated the separation clause again and again. Churches that operate within the law are another matter. The problem with the rabid religious right is that they insist that we all believe as they do. When you say, "let's just ban religion," aren't you doing the same thing?

What does he know?

"I think the pollsters may be off target in terms of this election."

To me this sounds like Falwell is already planning for another vote tally- pollster mismatch, like we saw in 2004.

Polls aren't always accurate, especially when you change a vote count behind the scenes.

Look Out.

The (Im)Moral Majority

Rove also agrees with Barry Goldwater's assessment of the religious right, including and in particular, Falwell. I paraphrase in part, but he (Goldwater) said that they have "no business in politics," and "They scare the hell out of me." Right on. How could it be that an arch-conservative had their number SO CLEARLY--and the sheep in the Republican Party let them take over? Goldwater was wrong about alot of things, but so right about this group.

There is nothing scarier than people who will believe anything as long as they are told it is "Christian," (or Muslim, or INSERT RELIGION NAME HERE) and that they must do what their earthly leaders tell them to do. In the instance of these Christians, what indeed happened to the "historical" teachings of Jesus? Its just too easy for them to make it up as they go...they are no better than the Moonies or any other cult. They find a charismatic leader and turn their lives, thoughts, and money over to them. Religion and politics must be separated for once and for all; if church leaders are going to preach politics and political parties, they should be taxed like any other social club.

For once, I agree with Rove

Karl Rove says these guys are nuts. For once, I agree with Rove. If there is a hell, Falwell will surely be tending the fires. Him and Rove will be able to talk about the "good ole days" while they watch Bush mispronounce Satan's name.

Christ Reich

What the hell kind of religion has misogyny and homophobia as care values? It can't be Christianity, if by that you mean the example and teachings of the Carpenter. He didn't have a word to say about the value of keeping homosexuals and women in their place. He did, however, have plenty to say, with deeds to back it up, about how to treat others.

Frame it!

I think the Christ Reich needs a new symbol. Can anyone bend the cross into a swastika? Then they can duke it out with Moon and his new symbol, the crown.

Fascism vs. monarchy. Can we let them battle over the Bermuda Triangle?

God and Government

Has any one noticed that since we put the words "in God we trust" in 1957 on our money and "one nation under God" 1954 in our pledge of allegiance our Government has become more evil? They have become arrogant and self righteous, acting like they are all powerful yet we have not won a war since. They have become covert and sinister by invading hundreds of other institutions and governments trying to convert them to "our" way of thinking. They have turned on there own people by spying on us and denying us the truth and knowledge of their activities at home and abroad. They have denied us an inalienable right to affordable higher education. They have trashed our constitutional obligation to "provide for the general welfare" by turning over our health care to corporate profiteers that put profit way ahead of your health, that literally hold hostage everyone whom is not wealthy by giving us the choice of your money or your life in health care decisions.
It really does appear that our government is trying to appease the right wing fundamentalist Christians by purposely creating the rapture scenario. For the most part the fundamentalists really don’t care about their fellow man or the planet we live on. The sooner they bring on the destruction of our existence the better. Yes that is what many of the fundamentalist preachers preach. Just pay attention to their TV sermons if you have the stomach for it.

God does not want his name on any of this.

Thou shalt not mix Government and Religion.

They very nature of religion is to brainwash its followers.

Thank God our founding fathers of the United States had the wisdom to understand this most important fundamental aspect of any good government. The seeds of our nation are not from any religion at all. In fact they are Deist in principle. Meaning that our sense if reason and Mother Earth must be our true gifts from God. Respect for and cherishing both must be Gods purpose for us or he would not have given them to us. See Deism.com.
We had all better wake up and realize this before our planet no longer supports us and our government starts issuing death sentences for converting from the state sponsored religion.
