Seeing it in black and white, rather than out of the mouths of spin-misters and bobble head pundits, Sarah Palin’s portfolio is startlingly revealing: [1] “Last year, Palin requested more earmarks [2] per person than any other state -- including some that were criticized [3] by McCain himself … as mayor of Wasilla, Palin's pursuit of earmarks was aggressive … though Palin touted her opposition to the ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ … she initially supported the project … Palin was endorsed by now-indicted Sen. Ted Stevens … The friendly relationship between the embattled senator … and the supposedly maverick governor is at odds with Palin's claim to dismantling the "old boys club" of Alaska government … Palin reportedly fired the police chief and attempted to fire the librarian [4], because she did not feel that she had their ‘full support …’ Former city officials allege that the attempts to remove the librarian were a result of her her refusal to censor books at Palin's request [5]… Palin has been at the center of the Trooper-Gate scandal that alleges misuse of her gubernatorial power … Palin fired the Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Monegan later claimed his firing was a result of his refusal to fire [6] Palin's former brother-in-law and trooper Mike Wooten. Palin denied that she, her husband or her staff ever pressured Monegan, a statement she later had to retract when recorded phone calls [7] revealed one of her aides, Frank Bailey, had called a troopers [8] office pushing for Wooten's removal ... the Washington Post published emails [9] from Palin to Monegan in which she appeared to complain that Wooten was still employed, apparently undercutting her claim that she discussed Wooten with Monegan only in the context of the security of her family. She certainly has the Bush Repuglican standards of operating procedure in place, “Palin has claimed executive privilege [10] on over a thousand emails between her and her staff including Bailey.” There is nothing here that even suggests she’s qualified for VP of the U.S.A.!!!

Vice President of the United States of America certainly requires more than a “hockey mom” and a “pit bull in lipstick”! The Office of VP requires more than what John McCain would have you believe. “McCain said … ‘The vice president has two duties. [11] One is to inquire daily as to the health of the president, and the other is to attend the funerals of Third World dictators.’” And it certainly requires more than Sarah Palin offered up last night!!!

Memo to America: “Community Organizers” care about people, they help us help ourselves; community organizers are more responsible and responsible for more than any small town, small minded politician! Repuglican politicians only care about personal gain and personal power that is all they want from the public!

The sad face of Bristol Palin during her mother’s speech last night revealed exactly what she thinks of her mother! As a mother I can certainly say, what this mother, for political gain and personal approval, has done to her daughter is inexcusable and unbelievable!

“… McCain would likely weaken the CIA by giving broad new spying authorities to the Pentagon [12], which CIA officials believe is more amenable to giving policymakers the intelligence they want, while being subject to less congressional oversight.” We all know where that got us the last eight years -- in an illegal, preemptive, unnecessary war in Iraq! That’s not to say it wasn’t entirely without the assistance from the then Director of the CIA, George Tenet, but a whole lot of the false intel we were fed came from the “world domination” neoconservative civilian cabal set up by Rumsfeld over at the Pentagon! Currently the CIA is under the tutelage of the military embodied by retired General Michael V. Hayden, and Hayden is all that Bush wants him to be, [13] Hayden oversees spying on Americans for Bush! These guys have shredded the Constitution of the United States of America, and if we don’t say NO to John McCain and the Repuglican Party, Democracy as we have known it will be gone forever!
The irony and the quirk of fate in this American Repuglican neo-conservative quest [14] for world domination [15] -- it was Hitler and Nazi Germany that last set out with the same intention, [16] malice, and might [17] to dominate the world! [18]
As a woman and a working mother I am insulted by Sarah Palin’s performance last night, it was both embarrassing and appalling! Leave it to the cabal of all white male Repuglican politicians to take a woman who has achieved some small success in her career and turn her into the stereotypical B***H, a backyard over the fence gossip dishing out all the sarcastic dirt, the lies, and innuendo that she and they could dig up! Leave it to a Repuglican woman to be duped into playing that role! This was another example of Repuglican opportunity lost! I continue to wonder how the supposed “family values” sect in this country sees strength in acerbic, derisive, and divisive commentary! “Attack dog mockery” and “lipstick on a pitbull” are definitely not qualifications for Vice President and a “heartbeat” away from the Presidency of the United States of America! It certainly does not lead us into the future, it does nothing for the economy, health care, jobs, equality, the war, and all the chaos and confusion the Repuglicans have created in our nation! We’ve had enough of “bring it on”, “mission accomplished” and “dead or alive”!!! I must say, though, I am not surprised that John McCain is impotently sitting out the war of a campaign and hiding behind a woman, happy to have her fight his battles for him!

It’s clear that the McCain campaign is using Karl Rove strategy 101! “... the McCain campaign has almost singlehandedly made Sarah Palin's daughter a central figure in the Republican convention. [19] It was the McCain campaign that announced Palin's daughter's pregnancy … it was the McCain campaign, entirely on its own, that dished up unsubstantiated claims about maternity tests [20] and all sorts of other lurid nonsense that had never been seen in print anywhere. [21] And now the McCain campaign has staged a ceremonial laying-on-of-hands on the tarmac in St. Paul in which Sen. McCain has given his official blessing to the young couple and embrace of Bristol's boyfriend Levi.” Where I come from, using your children in such an insensitive, callous manner for personal political gain is called abuse, and when it’s your children this abuse is just plain downright cruel and evil! NOT a recommendation for good character, integrity, or honor!
