A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

Bob Novak has had a crazy week. First, he was "used" by the McCain campaign [1] to put out a leak that McCain will pick his running mate this week. Then, obviously distracted from this issue, Novak hits a pedestrian with his black Corvette convertible, and is apparently so distracted, doesn't even realize he has hit someone [2].
But Novak can't be distracted anymore. He faces significant charges for his reckless driving. And since Novak has been a huge fan of Bush's policies, should Novak be a test subject, a guinea pig for Bush's new policies?
Should Bob Novak be held without habeas corpus for an unknown period of time for his hit and run incident in Washington, DC?
After all, the fun isn't limited to just "foreigners"; Americans get to be part of the fun as well.
Appropriately, Novak would have faced the slammer for his role in the Valerie Plame case. But things being where they are in the view of "justice" in the Bush Administration, Novak remains a free man. But karma or a higher sense of irony could easily see Novak go to jail in some form.
Republicans like the world in a certain way where authority figures have, well, too much authority. And Novak has been a champion about this. So should Novak put his philosophy to the test? After all in jail, Novak can't be "used" by the McCain campaign.
