We keep scratching names off the VP list. Jim Webb is the latest [1] to join Ted Strickland [1] in the "I'm not going to be VP" statements.
I have said in the past [1] that I didn't think Webb would be a good choice for a vice president, particularly his past views on women.
But I think Webb can be useful in many other ways. His military background served him well in regard to the new GI bill. I also really liked hearing what Webb had to say in his recent "Daily Show" appearance. I think he'll make a good Senator for years to come. But he isn't suited for the VP role.
