Didn't vote for Bush in 2000? Arianna Huffington says McCain didn't either

You might just have something in common with John McCain: both of you may not have voted for George W. Bush in the 2000 election.

So if you own an extra bumper sticker from 2000 that says, "Don't blame me. I didn't vote for Bush," maybe you should give it to McCain. At least, Arianna Huffington has been reporting from first-hand knowledge [1] that McCain and his wife, Cindy, didn't vote for Bush in 2000.

McCain's campaign has denied the statement. But given the horrible means the Bush camp went to run McCain off the road in 2000, you can completely understand why McCain and his wife would not vote for Bush. Huffington says Cindy told her she cast a write-in vote for her husband. If I were running for president (and married), and I was treated that way, I would hope my wife would do the same thing.

And you definitely have something in common with Dick Cheney. Cheney didn't vote for George W. Bush [2] in the 2000 primary.

Perhaps Cheney and McCain knew Bush wasn't quite up to snuff. Unfortunately, they flipped on their feelings about Bush.

So if you think the Obama/Clinton matchup has been intense, figure that the one who isn't the nominee will at least vote for the other in November.
