BuzzFlash,

"Laissez-Faire: The allowance to do as one pleases without interference, regulation or control, "a hands-off" government policy." Free enterprise, deregulation, inaction, enough rope to hang oneself with."

"Loyalty: Faithfulness, allegiance, devotion, duty, honor, patriotism, trustworthiness." -- Roget's Super Thesaurus

We American people, for the past thirty years, have given the Republican Party a pass, as well as those Democrats who have openly supported the Republican Party's greed-infested initiatives. The Republican Party has spent most of those years, along with the unbelievable and constant support of big guy media, using propaganda to convince the American people that they are responsible for their own loss of the American dream. You know, the "boot straps." But, we Americans know those are lies.

Blame the victims has been another strategy of the Bush GOP. Separate the masses through prejudices, emotions. Anything to keep the eyes of America off them, and off the fact that this is a government of the people. They work for us.

Anyone who votes Republican today is casting a vote against their own welfare and the welfare of this country. Anyone who votes Republican today is giving a vote for crime without accountability. Why is it that Americans do not feel that any of our employees who serve in all three branches of government, should not be kicked out of government and made responsible for the decisions they make when those decisions are not for the betterment of this country, but based on personal greed? Decisions that we know are for corrupted power and profit. Decisions that we also know are crimes against humanity. Decisions made through secret meetings, lies, and sealed lips. Knowingly, supported by those in government because of loyalty to the Bush GOP.

Profiting off of the deaths and destruction of another country. Profiting off of the deaths of our own military and National Guard. Cheney's company, Halliburton, was considering bankruptcy [1] until he was placed into the Bush administration. Where would he be today without those no-bid contracts, which should be considered out and out fraud ... we must take the wealthy off US government welfare.

Violence is preached through fear, such as the war on terrorism, which is not a war, but a Bush GOP slogan to keep instilling fear into the American people. Spying on the American people, illegally. Thousands on a no-fly list. People arrested for wearing T-shirts with the words "Peace." Laws introduced where any American citizen can kill another if that person just "feels" threatened. This is promoting suspicion and violence so that the spying and the violence by US government will be accepted by a violence-prone society that lives in constant fear.

Is any of this activity considered protecting our Constitution and Bill of Rights? No. Just the opposite. It's all in violation of our rights, and should be punished according to US law.

Today, we read reports that the oil companies are celebrating the largest profits ever. Yet the citizens of this country are stuck with the largest debt in US history, and are stuck with the high fuel costs of gasoline, and those costs will be funneled down to the consumer on everything they buy. And who in America would ever have thought in their wildest dreams that China would own us through such a debt? There has never been anything conservative about the Bush Republicans and their followers.

Through the years and such government, this country has lost the farms and the Mom and Pop businesses that once held small communities together, the jobs that many Americans would work until retirement. Senator Obama was able to see the pain in some of those communities and talk about it. Truth from a politician, but people don't want to hear the truth, they want fantasy, which is what they continue to get from a treasonous, imperial Bush GOP presidency, and their supporters.

One certainty is that one noble and intelligent politician can't change this country ... it's going to take the American people to change this country, and to do that, we Americans have to put every politician who has supported this Bush Republican Party out of office. A government by the people is a democracy. A government by a small cabal is an oligarchy. We can't trust the Republican Party with our democracy. They've had 30 years and we Americans have had nothing but debt, death, and destruction ... the worst government ever in US history. Why would anyone vote for that again?

Why is the US the only country to have military bases all over the world? Violence begets violence, and has been proven over and over again. Whatever happened to negotiations with other cultures, other countries? Wars and cold wars never solve problems, they promote distrust, suspicions ... we live in a small world today, there is no reason for this type of behavior from a practicing democratic government.

The US Presidential Inauguration: On the occasion of an inauguration, with their right hand raised aloft, and their left hand placed on an open Bible, the new President proclaims:

I do solemnly swear [or affirm] that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. -- Ben Schott's Original Miscellany, 2002.

It's time the American people think of themselves first. There's room in a real democracy for liberals, progressives, conservatives ... democracy is for all of the people, democracy is also by the people, of the people ... there's no room in a democracy for a government based on laissez-faire along with the loyalty to a political group instead of to the United States of America; technically, that's treason ... there's no room in US government for the Bush Republican Party or for any of their supporters ... there is a need, however, for truth to power, justice, and accountability ... that's what we Americans must vote for.

Thanks BuzzFlash,

Shirley Smith
