MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Today's political campaigns raise more questions than answers, but the answers are there if people really want to see them. People are being killed every day due to the policies of the US, and the Clintons get angry because people want to see change in US government, and it doesn't include them ... big lawful changes. What gets in the news? Not Iraq. Not the deaths.
Why is Senator Clinton beginning to go after McCain, as being reported lately? Why do people think the Clintons are being attacked whenever their actions and reactions are repeated in the news? Why are people so angry about the war in Iraq, but still do not hold Senator Clinton responsible for her vote to invade Iraq and to stay in Iraq? Why do people refuse to question Senator Clinton when she changes her mind every few days regarding Iraq and Senator McCain?
Why do people refuse to hold Hillary responsible for what her campaign has done when it comes to constantly attacking Senator Obama? Do people really think that if the case were reversed that the Clintons wouldn't be trying to get Obama to quit months ago for the same type of behavior? When we Americans have put up with such behavior from the Bush GOP, why is down and dirty so acceptable by those fellow Americans who support the Clintons regardless of what they say or do?
Why do people think it reasonable for President Bill Clinton to be angry with Governor Richardson for supporting Obama, and calling him traitorous, yet, it's okay when Hillary was giving her support to the Bush GOP candidate John McCain, and asking for support from the Republican Party ... the same Party that whacked them and the American people for eight long years? What about being loyal to the Democratic Party? What about showing respect for those who "brung ya" to this Party for years, and continued to support you for many more years?
The tactics of attacking your own is what we would expect out of a Bush GOP administration, and Lieberman. One of the reasons the US government has become nothing more than a weak group of agencies backed by the largest stash of WMD in the world, and a Bush GOP military that believes in killing and asking questions later ... all of which is due to people being placed into positions only because of their loyalty to Bush, not to this country, but to the Bush administration.
We are supposed to be a "free" nation, a "democracy." There's probably one thing people, including the Clintons, should know about the Democratic donkey ... ever tried to pull or push on a donkey to lead him?
The denial we are witnessing by those who support the Clintons, who refuse to face any facts being reported except to consider all reports as bashing, is what we Americans have put up with for eight long years by the Bush GOP administration. It was either their way or no way, and now we Americans are responsible for the deaths and displacement of millions of people in Afghanistan, Iraq, and New Orleans, and these warring chickenhawks keep talking about attacking Iran ... these are all nations that have played a positive part in the Bush Republican Party's history at different times during the last 30 years, with the help of some Democrats, including the Clintons.
And then there is the denial of racism. As we have seen and heard from certain commentators, the worst racists are those whose language is so bigoted, that they don't even notice it themselves. That's the real race card. To them, it's not being a racist because they just feel that they are superior, uh, sorta, kinda like white supremacy?
If they stop the attack on the Democratic Party, will Hillary and Bill think that everything should be forgiven and forgotten ... well, they aren't teenagers, are they? Bidding for the highest, most responsible job in this country and act out for days on end ... hardly the leadership we need in the White House representing the Democratic Party after thirty years of debt, death, and destruction, and eight of those years from a person who was more qualified to be holding a book and watching the rest of the kindergarten class read. That's called "hands on experience" by the Bush GOP Republicans. This nation is suffering, too, from eight long years of the Bush GOP and their war against the American people, and we have to listen to the Clintons bash the Democrats?
The Clintons will always be able to get support from big-money Republicans because those Republicans know they can use and abuse them, and get back at the Democratic Party. Looking back at the nineties, it almost played out like a bipolar battle of dominance-submission, the Republicans being the dominating source, and the Clintons, well, we all know what they did, however, it was the Democratic Party and the American people who got the Quixotic shaft. Those who weren't aware of what was going on are still hell-bent on supporting the Clintons today, regardless of what they have done or might do in the future.
Star gazers are for the real stars, not politicians in a solid, responsible government. We still have an invasion/occupation going on and brought about by a treasonous Bush GOP administration, and we still need accountability brought back into US government. Nothing's being done.
What we don't need is someone to keep kissing up to those criminals in US government and think that if they think good thoughts, be nice, and get their way, everything will be just peachy-creamy, and okey dokey. That's been a real trust buster for the Democratic Party. Why do the Clintons think that since they were in the White House for eight years, that, that should give them some type of supercilious, superiority to repeat the role of the big cheese [1] ... when it was actually "milk's leap toward immortality" (-- Clifton Fadiman).
The one good thing that might come of this campaign fiasco, if it happens, would be the demise of the DLC. We can thank the Clintons for that, and be forever grateful. We could even send them on a world tour with the Bushes, not as ambassadors, just for a long vacation, "A semiannual reminder that doing nothing is hard work" (-- Art Hinkle) ... and for the Bushes, a sort of climactic finish before the trials.
Thanks BuzzFlash,
Shirley Smith
