BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

A trait, a flaw if you will, that all Americans need to consider when they vote come November! “Mr McCain’s policies would not be so worrying were it not for his notorious quickness to fury [1] in the face of perceived insults to himself or his country. Even Thad Cochran, a fellow Republican senator, has said: ‘I certainly know no other president since I’ve been here who’s had a temperament like that’ ... some of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century were caused by brave, honourable men with a passionate sense of national mission.” Do we really want a man who's known to have a really bad temper to have his finger on that “bomb, bomb” button?

The “neoconservatives” have finally found their guy! And his ideology sounds more like Hitler than any to come down the pike thus far: “Mr McCain declared in 2000: ‘I’d institute a policy that I call ‘rogue state rollback.’ [2] I would arm, train, equip, both from without and from within, forces that would eventually overthrow the governments and install free and democratically elected governments.’ Mr McCain advocates attacking Iran if necessary in order to prevent it developing nuclear weapons, and last year was filmed singing 'Bomb, Bomb Iran' to the tune of the Beach Boys' 'Barbara Ann.'" It will be to our detriment to elect such a man to the presidency of the United States of America! Can you imagine a grown man, a presidential candidate, no less, mocking the bombing of another country? It’s insane! Bombs and bullets are no joke, and "joking" about it has no place in a sane dialogue! John McCain of all people should know better!

This is one of the most inane statements ever made by George Bush. Bush Says Iraq War Was Worth It. [3] Bush Says He Has No Doubts About War in Iraq Despite 'High Cost in Lives and Treasure.' [4] It only proves his wants, needs, and desires are more important to him than the lives of our soldiers! Only a cold-blooded callous moron, who does not value human life, would make such a heartless and cruel statement!

“The three-star director of the Navy staff was fired [5] last Friday for providing 'false and misleading information' during a Defense Department inspector general investigation," Have to wonder what Stufflebeem really did wrong, is this an act of revenge, why go all the way back to 1990 to dig up dirt, does he know something about Bush they don’t want us to know? Enquiring minds want to know!

This is what I call a false sense of security, "Since the Federal Air Marshal Service post-September 11, 2001, expansion, the volume of risk-based deployments has consistently remained at, near or exceeded target levels," Alter wrote in an e-mail to CNN. He added, ‘Today, many thousands of dedicated and highly trained Federal Air Marshal Service [sic] work diligently around the globe to make air travel [6] safer than it's ever been.’" because [7]those inside the marshals service say there are nowhere near ‘thousands’ of air marshals working the skies. One marshal said …he believes the agency simply doesn't want taxpayers to know the truth.” [8] As usual, you’re doing a “heckuvajob” George!

Seizing an opportunity for chaos and confusion, a Repuglican-controlled legislature and a Repuglican governor in the State of Florida are responsible for the Democratic primary debacle in Florida! “The Democratic National Committee's rules committee was tasked with bringing order to the chaotic primaries. Twelve states applied for two additional early primary slots, which were awarded earlier this year to South Carolina and Nevada. Democrats in other states could not vote before February 5. That created a sticky situation for Florida Democrats when, to nobody's surprise, the Republican-controlled state legislature passed a law in May scheduling the state's primary for January 29. [9] (In most states, primary dates are set by the parties.) The primary date was wrapped up in a bill mandating a paper trail for the 2008 election -- a popular measure the minority Democrats could not afford to oppose.” The Repuglicans are patting themselves on the back for creating yet another opportunity to disenfranchise Florida voters and blame it on the Democrats. The Repuglicans knew full well what they were doing!
