Clinton Campaign Sinks to New Low in Playing Race-Osama Card Through Drudge Report

I am a John Edwards supporter and truth be told, the best candidate has already left the campaign.

So many of these so called political blogs have become Obama sites...yes, they have partaken of the Kool-Aid.
The political debate has no longer interesting, it's become a farce. The media decided that they were in love with Obama and they would only publish positive, glowing reports about him. The reports and clips on Obama have been so nice, you'd think he walks on water. This is something very wrong. Obama has a lot of connections within the Chicago Democratic Machine and has international connections supplying his campaign with money.

If you think he's made all that money with little contributions, think again.

Obama only likes special interest money when he gets is.

The union reported in federal filings that it had spent $1.4 million in the two states on Mr. Obama’s behalf, an effort that immediately came under sharp attack from the campaign of his rival, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The Clinton campaign accused Mr. Obama of hypocrisy, saying he had criticized Mr. Edwards in Iowa for receiving similar support. Mr. Obama called that support “underhanded” and deserving of “further scrutiny.”

Mr. Obama has denounced special-interest money and the Democrats who have taken it, a point the Clinton campaign emphasized in a conference call with reporters.

“When it was in Obama’s interest to criticize Edwards over outside spending, he did so,” said Howard Wolfson, a Clinton campaign spokesman. “Now when it is in his interest to remain silent, he is.”,

Obama is a phony, an empty, this generation's Elmer Gantry.

Not only did his arrogance not allow him the time to attend the State of the Black Union, one of the most important meeting held every year to discuss African American issues both domestically and international, but that SOB tried to send HIS WIFE as a replacement.

That was a slap to the face to Tavis Smiley and the black community. Obama has such contempt for black people that he figures what the hell he care about us? We are going to vote for him. He needs to convince the white folks that he's one of "them" (which he isn't).

Not all of us black folks are drinking the Kool-Aid. The African-American community in this country never did better financially, economically, socially or political than in the CLINTON YEARS! Most black people don't know a damn thing about this man, but vote because he's black. So I guess if you are a woman, it's okay to vote for Hillary just because she's a woman. And if you are an old white man, you should be voting for McCain.

Hillary did attend the conference, she gave Tavis her word. She flew all the way from Ohio to attend. Obama was right next door in Texas, but didn't find the time to come and thank the black folks who put him on the map! Hillary answered questions and gave details on her plans for health care and education. Obama was no where to be seen. Obama has taken the black vote for granted- I guess that's the white part of Obama showing.

The only people running "negative" campaign is Obama...and he gets the media to do it, while standing high on his pedestal.

I don't care what the polls are saying since the only sample about 1500 people and this is a country of about 300 million.

Hillary can beat McCain just as well as Obama.
These polls can change in a heart beat. McCain is a weak candidate. Even the Republicans know that.

Let me just remind people (and I'm going to keep doing it) about 1948, when Truman ran against Thomas Dewey.
Every single political journalist said that Truman was going to lose...every single poll said that Truman was going to lose.
Truman stayed out there, pushing, railing against the Republicans who were undermining his attempts to make real change in America (Truman was the FIRST president to suggest putting together an universal healthcare plan).

His supporters said "Give 'em hell, Harry!" But the press said it was futile. Dewey as smooth talker, charming, well educated New Yorker. Everyone predicted that Truman would lose. Even the Chicago Tribune (still a filthy rag today) had the headline, "Dewey Defeats Truman" and no one thought the American public would vote for someone so vilified in the press.

Well, Truman won. So I say...

One could "imagine" anything. If you think that this tactic is too sleazy and so easily refuted, it's too bad Hillary does not have you managing her campaign. Unfortunately, we all cannot be running down the infinite pathways of your imagination. Until it is demonstrated that the Obama campaign is now swiftboating itself, your theories will be trumped by reality. The cards that Hilary and her surrogates have dealt so far have come off the bottom of the deck. The other players call her out but she does not seem to get the message. Ultimately, she will have to fold her hand, take the cards out from up her sleeve and cash in her few remaining chips while she still has any.

The only instance of any campaign stupidity was when some state campaign worker made some crappy juvenile email go out, and *that campaign worker was fired*.

This is a claim made by Matt Drudge. HE was the dealer. And this claim had two possible results: 1) Obama would believe it, and 2) Clinton would boldly speak out against it in defense. In either scenario, and in which BOTH could possibly result, whichever one worked would make that party look like stupid.

THe results were: 1) Obama's campaign believed it and cried about it, and 2) Clinton's campaign told them all to go play with themselves for making such idiotic claims and believing such idiotic claims. Instead of playing for it - making some defensive, back-pedaling statement like Drudge was hoping for - Clinton's staff shut them all up.

Matt Drudge is laughing his a$$ off at Obama. And at folks like you, too, for believing it.

As for Obama campaign staff, to compare with the stupid incidient of a Clinton campaign staffperson: in Ohio and in South Carolina, Obama campaign staff told voters that they couldn't vote for Edwards - and because his wife was near death; and Edwards wouldn't be able to run a country while in remorse over his dead wife, now would he? (and I'm scaling down the words I was told to ones of more humane nature) Those staffpersons are still with the Obama campaign. At least CLinton fired hers.

The entire Klinton Kampaign beginning with moist eyes in New Hampshire through Rezko, plagiarism, the Chelsea comment soap opera, phony outrage over the NAFTA mailing, and now Obama in costume (this list has been seriously abbreviated) has been one long attempt to win by deceit, slander, manipulation and intimidation. The voters are trump in this game and that really burns the Klinton butt.

I personally am damn glad that Clinton did Obama a favor and brought up Rezko in debate; it gave him opportunity to address the fact that a man who worked on every one of his campaigns, and who even purchased property with him, and who was established as longtime friend of his, was under investigation for violating campaign laws. And she brought up before the republicans did, and you know the manner in which they would have tried to smear that out - sort of like Drudge does!!!

(Obama lied about Rezko in the debate, unfortunately, worsening his circumstances when the republicans bring it up this summer....sheesh, what an idiot...he'd have been better off right now if he had just told the whole story instead of making false statements)

But you need desperately to change the subject, to call Obama a liar, basically to carry on in the very manner your heroine inspires. Well, it does not seem to be working very well. The American people have really had it with these lame attempts to frighten them, to stampede them, to con them. What will you do in your spare time once all this negativity subsides?

If there are some GROWN-UPS left in the Democratic Party - now is the time for them to have an "intervention."

Rather than allow a candidate to destroy their own reputation, and that of the Democratic Party, it is time for the Party Elders to intervene.

It is time for someone to inform Senator Clinton she should end this divisiveness, and these negative campaign tactics. It is time for her to withdraw from a race she CANNOT win, and it is time for all Democrats to support Senator Obama, the front runner, to bring unity to the Democratic Party, and to work for a victory in November.

These last three days of her campaign has done nothing but supply ammunition to the Republican attack machine. For the sake of the country, it must stop.

No one can "mock" Senator Obama without also "mocking" the millions of people who have already voted for him. Does one think that you can disparage Senator Obama, without also casting dispersions on those same millions of people?

Does the Democratic Party leadership think they, at some point will recapture those votes?

It is time to end this kindergarten madness.

The people of America have spoken in several states. Someone will have to tell Mrs. Clinton what they have said. She seems not to hear any voice but her own.

It is time for the leadership of the Democratic Party to do a serious "intervention" before more irreparable harm is done -- to the country, and to the party.

Interesting idea, an "intervention." If any regular non-presidential-candidate citizen was having these same mood swings, personality shifts, angry outbursts, etc. that Hillary is having, I would think someone who loves them would try to get them help. The mocking thing really got to me yesterday and I think it made her look really pathetic, really desperate, really out of touch with the reality that's going on around her. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- it didn't have to be this way. She didn't have to go all bonkers like this. Hillary had a lot going for her and she could have run this race quite differently. But I guess she felt she had to listen to what all those multi-million dollar advisors were telling her, because for that kind of money, I suppose she felt she should at least get her money's worth. Wrong again.

I would go even further. Let's invite her to join Joe Lieberman, who probably feels rather lonely as the only Were-Republican in Congress.

As a progressive activist in New York, I will be doing my utmost to retire Clinton from public office as a Democrat. In the future, if she wants to run for any office, she can run as a Liberman Republican.

There can be no room in the Democratic Party for sleaze balls like this. This is what we have Republicans for.

The apostle Paul warns us in 2 Timothy 4:3,4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but [wanting] to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths."

Obama the messiah is a myth; Obama the politician for special interest groups is the truth.

Barrack may not be "the Black Savior" or the second coming, but he IS a breath of fresh air in the Dem party. He has been able to unite diverse groups in a way not seen for many many years. I will support whoever the party chooses, either HRC or BHO, but really hope for Obama. Wasn't this Drudge web site also involved in spinning the Whitewater story against Bill Clinton. I thought they were a Right wing web site, which I haven't looked at in years. Why and who would get Drudge to spin a story about Clinton and Obama. Where is Karl Rowe.

Well if this picture was released in early Feb by the National Enquirer as posted, whats the problem. Have you seen Bush dressed up when they all were in China.

Not a story.As a supporter of both candidates for President, and one will be the president, it should be dropped before we ourselves spin this against the party of change and all Americans that want the Republicans out.

This is definitely not a story, and as noted, every administration has its photos of the prez visiting other countries and wearing some type of traditional garb. (The bush in China photos/videos were hilarious!)
