Hi Buzz!

I haven't written in awhile, so excuse me if this has already been addressed. I was afraid this might happen. McCain has a 5 point lead over Obama?! I hope and pray this will not be a parallel of what happened to John Kerry in 2004. Right after a triumphant Democratic convention, Kerry went on a vacation. If memory serves me right, he was ahead of Bush in the polls. The swiftboaters did their dirty work in August while Kerry was having a fun vacation. When he awoke to reality, he found himself behind, never to gain the lead again.

I hope Obama takes over the lead by leading an intelligent and aggressive campaign. At every presidential election in recent years, I am tired of voting for the better man and seeing him lose to a loser who steals the presidency. God forbid, not again!

Subject: Creed Ballew ...

I agree totally...It was amazing how this old man...codger...answered every question before it was even out of the mouth of a much younger Rick Warren.

I thought to myself, before I caught onto the "cone of silence" litany...that he was being much too sassy...too knowing...too into this thing. It did not occur to me until the next day and the questions started about how he was so much ahead of Obama on this particular thing...and he especially came off better...his answers were to the point...and he did not have to think ... (he never thinks anyway)...but, I started to wonder...what the hell kind of Cone was that? Then...people started to question Warren ... and the grins started...and it hit me...he was listening...so, what was the point?

We all know that he does not believe in women's rights...always have. He is not GOD...he does not know that life begins at conception...he makes me a little queasy.

His hero is Gen. Petraeus? Please!!! And, we have won the war already...but, didn't we know that when Bush landed on that ship with that banner? HUH?

If I was not sick of it before...I am now...and I am also scared...if we think, folks, that they were up to no good in 2000 and 2004...and no one has a conscience...just wait!!!

Subject: McCain and the Draft

I saw it on TV myself.

Little noticed by the public, Newt Gingrich, the Neocons, and John McCain want "full mobilization" of the United States to fight the War on Terror. Now, they (we) have rekindled the Cold War for further justification.

Do NOT yield to rationales for the draft, based on nostalgia from the anti-war days of the 60's where the draft provoked and mobilized young people sufficient to stop the Vietnam War. They have restructured our society and thinking, built detention centers, such that never again will popular protests stop them.

Full mobilization of our society--the draft, the cost of another million people in uniforms--and reversal of Roe vs Wade! Young people and women will wake up to these realities after McCain is elected, if not before.

What's with the arrogant attitudes of Police these days?? Why do they feel the need to treat people like cattle?? Using Tasers, pepper spray and clubs to make us submit??? Why are the Police so afraid of the Elderly, the Young, the Disabled, and the Immigrants?? Why do they feel the need to put on the Riot Gear, every time Americans want to express Freedom Of Speech? Police today, are arrogant, and act like Barbarians. I would really like any Police Officer to explain just why we are treated like cattle, and they feel so superior to the Rest of the Citizens Any takers???? This Citizen wants to know!!

Jesus God! Why in the world aren't the Obama people really going after the fact that McCain agreed with that woman that we need to reinstate the draft? It is insane not to! If that had been Obama, the repugs would have buried him inside of 24 hours! But then again, if McCain is elected we will need the draft for all the wars McCain wants to fight! McCain is a very dangerous old man!

I have been following this fiasco. Where did all this money go? Why didn't the Administration be more careful? I feel overwhelmed with this news. This should be reported from every MAIN NEWS OUTLET, instead of touting the phrases of "mission accomplished," which clearly NEVER happened.

Another 4 yrs like the last 6 yrs are better than a fresh start to bring America back on track with with Barack Obama, is this what we are hearing???

Are we to believe the lies that are told about Obama are what will make McCain a President?

Is this what we are to believe??? Have Americans been dumbed down so bad, we cannot know the difference between what is in our best interest that a liar has a better chance at being President than a honest, intelligent, young man with fresh ideas, and outlook to fix what has gone wrong for the pass 6 yrs has no chance at all?

We blame Obama, he is called a loser? McCain is praised because he cheats like a good (bad) Republican? This is a winner?

The global financial crisis is set to get worse, with a large US bank likely to collapse in the next few months, a former IMF chief economist has warned.

If this is true, it is not good. NB, the U.S. is still the economic giant. We could still land on our feet, if we don't do something stupid like attacking Iran and interrupting the flow of oil through the Gulf, and if we do something real about the $800 billion trade deficit and $700 bill we pay for foreign oil. (Each year!)

McCain really is Bush #3, not very bright about economics (as he has admitted), but why is Obama debating in an evangelical church instead of addressing these issues?
