Subject: Hillary Clinton
You're wasting your time bashing Hillary. She will no doubt lose. In the meantime, you may be contributing to the ill-will among Democratic voters. I was initially an Al Gore supporter, then I supported John Edwards because he was talking directly about the difficulties we face in this country, unlike Hillary or Obama who were in the beginning soft soaping every issue. Now I don't care which candidate wins as long as they can beat McCain, who is the real enemy. His presidency would be a disaster. We all know that either of the two Democratic candidates would be much better, so why take up so much of your time bad mouthing one of them?

Subject: It's A Wonderful Life
It is probably just some weird connection being made but I have visions of "It's a Wonderful Life" when I look at the presidential candidates. I see John McCain as the Lionel Barrymore character Mr. Potter whose view of the world and of his politics is to lie cheat and steal your way to wealth and fortune. To promote policies and housing projects that bring forth a servitude class forever to be poor. Lately I think McCain has taken on the physical appearance of a demented nasty old man who when given the chance to do the right thing says, "Did you steal that money George? You are worth more dead than alive."
Barack Obama is George Bailey. A man with visions of a beautiful world and willing to sacrifice to the betterment of the community. Barack looks like Jimmy Stewart, tall and lanky. Barack reassures us it will all be alright. And in the end George Bailey is rewarded for all of the good he has done and still has it in his heart to scream, "Merry Christmas Mr. Potter."
Now I would love to see Hillary playing the part of Mary (Donna Reid) who sticks by George through thick and thin and shares the same dream and vision of the world. But I know that role probably pisses her supporters off, and I'm sorry for that but I think it would be wonderful.
As for the current assministration I think I saw them while on vacation in North Carolina. The Biltmore Estate tour allows you to get up close to some amazing decorative aspects of the home. If you visit, look closely at the gargoyles. I swear there are some that are George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and even Condoleezza Rice. They are on the back porch area stuck in the corners peering down. Creepy. Later in their lives they were all given roles playing the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz.
In the words of Herbert Hoover, "Blessed are the young for they shall inherit the national debt." Or "Old men declare war, But it is the youth that must fight and die."

Subject: Crocker Is A Crock Of S___.
Trying to endure the torture of listening to the stammering stuttering repeated "er ah" of Crocker without a script is a punishing exercise. Can you imagine being in negotiations with this career political supposed ambassador drone? He is a turn-off from word one. His message is hollow vagueness and he would more appropriately be called an embarr"ass"ing amb"ass"a bore.

Subject: George Bush & The Henchmen
George Bush by any other name is nothing but a coward and a bully. I don't know which is worse but together it's a one-two punch that no self-respecting person should be proud of. But, of course, that assumes he even has a conscience, which is more clear that he doesn't have.
What do we call it when one's disgust and revulsion for our government and its officials morphs into unblemished and primal hatred -- such as that reserved for the most odious of reptiles -- the most poisonous snake that exists?
And now we find out -- as if we didn't already know -- that the bully and coward isn't even enough of a man to clean up his own damned mess before he thankfully is forced to leave office. Of course, he shouldn't even have been there to begin with. Yes, I am one of those who still believes his "presidency" was forced upon us by the Supreme Court and not by a fair election process.
We now find out, as though it really is any type of surprise, that people who occupied the highest positions of our government regularly held meetings to decide what types of torture would be utilized against those they decided are "enemy combatants." How nauseating is that?
I am not one to pray as I do not believe in organized religion, but this is one time that I will pray that karma will hound every single person connected in any way with the Bush Administration from the highest position to the lowest receives the karma they truly deserve. Whether that be arrest and trial by the people of the United States or by the International Courts doesn't matter.
What does matter is that these "people" be subjected to the justice and law they have wreaked upon the rest of us -- and I speak of not just Americans -- but the innocents who have been caught up in their orgy of corruption and blood letting.
Will the United States of America ever be a great country again? Will we be able to recoup what has been stolen from us by these despicable vermin? I truly hope so, but it's going to be a long, difficult fight -- one that will be "hard" as Bully Bush likes to say.

Subject: Carrying the Olympic torch question
For those wanting to expose the Chinese occupation of Tibet to the world, would it have been more constructive and raised the consciousness of all people more to have a person carry a separate "freedom torch" next to the Oylmpic torch runner?

Subject: Torture At The White House
Finally someone in the mainstream media, ABC news with Charlie Gibson gave a report 4/9/08 on Bush's most senior advisors approving "enhanced interrogation techniques" or torture.
Read and see video: http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/LawPolitics...
Sources: "Top Bush Advisors Approved 'Enhanced Interrogation' by Jan Crawford Greenburg, Howard L. Rosenberg and Ariane de Vogue 4/9/08.
These principals which included Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, George Tenet, and John Ashcroft used to meet at the White House.
At these meetings, they would approve specific torture techniques for the CIA to use on prisoners.
Now we know why Bush was in such a hurry to get the Military Commissions Act of 2006 passed. He wanted retroactive immunity for U.S. officials for torturing detainees prior to 2005. That was to protect his senior advisors and himself.

Will Congress NOW start those impeachment hearings?
We have John Yoo's torture memo detailing torture, saying that the President has the power to order torture, because he's Commander-in-Chief. The President can order poking out an eye, throwing acid or scalding water on a prisoner, slit an ear, nose, lip or disable a tongue or limb.
The National Lawyers Guild has called on Boalt Hall Law school to dismiss Law Professor John Yoo, that he should be disbarred, and TRIED AS A WAR CRIMINAL.
Read: www.nlg.org/news/index.php?entry... posted on BuzzFlash 4/9/08.
Now we have ABC news reporting about principals who talked about specific torture for the prisoners. Working one on one, discussing techniques, customizing torture for each individual prisoner. A real hands-on administration.
Is this who we want for our leaders?
Congress should be marching up to the White House with federal marshals to arrest these WAR CRIMINALS immediately. Straight to jail, no BAIL, as they're all flight risks. Remember Paraguay, where Bush bought 98,000 acres, and they don't extradite?
Pelosi MUST put IMPEACHMENT ON THE TABLE NOW.
Call Congress and DEMAND IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS.
IMPEACH! IMPEACH! IMPEACH!

Subject: The Election That Changed The World
"Whereas only six months earlier it seemed that the Iraq War would never end, especially after war-pimping General David Petraeus' 8th of April presentation before the U.S. Senate."
"Where his recommendation was that we stay the course."
"Which Congress rejected?"
"Not."
"Then how is it that the war was brought to an end?"
"Congress may have wimped out & caved but the American people sure didn't."
"People realized that is was now or never."
"So the people rose up and elected a president who went on to end the Iraq War, negotiate with Iran plus turning things around here at home."
"And ever since?"
"It's been up to us, the what sort of world."

Subject: Olympic Torch
Good to see so many people concerned about human rights in China but where are these protesters concerning human rights abuses of the U.S.A.? This war in Iraq is an immoral and illegal war and occupation and needs to end.
