Subject: The Gas Tax and Pending Loss of Alternative Energy Incentives

I'm not running for office so I have the luxury of speaking the truth about what people need to hear instead of what they want to hear.

We have three problems: lack of jobs and money coupled with skyrocketing fuel costs. How do we address all three with some intelligence and common sense solutions?

Subject: Obama and Reverend Wright

Even if Reverend Wright had been reading a phone book from the pulpit instead of making remarks about American foreign policy, we would've been offended by him anyway. Why? It's the tone.

Subject: Pentagon Propaganda

Is this not a smoking gun? Are there not laws against this kind of stuff? Is it just an expectation I have of the fourth estate?

Damning. As though we needed more evidence, but thank God somebody is writing this stuff and it is on the front page of The New York Times. ...

Subject: Electability

The only remaining argument that the Clinton campaign keeps rolling out is that Barack Obama is not electable and that McCain and the Republicans will wipe the floor with him. This argument has only one slight facet in its favor; it could become a self-fulfilling prophesy where significant numbers of HRC supporters refuse to vote for OBama, or God forbid, vote for McCain. Otherwise it is ludicrous.

Considering the incredible distress our nation is suffering after the most abysmal presidency in history, it is not conceivable that a majority would actually choose to stomach more of the same. And if we as a people are so ignorant as to make that choice, then that is about all that we deserve.

Lost in this specious and dishonest argument is one fact that the Obama campaign could (and perhaps should) raise, if the candidate were not so classy as he is. Hillary Clinton's negatives are so high across both parties as to assure that she is not electable.

I am a lifetime progressive Democrat, and a long-time admirer of Ms. Clinton. I am also a lifetime feminist, and have longed for a woman president. However, the Clinton campaign has been so vile that, well, there is nothing more to say. And besides, she is such a hawk that I sorrow. If we hold another election between two Republican candidates, a Republican is sure to win.

Subject: Bush And Cheney Impeachment

Once the the two are out of office they can no longer be impeached. Can they, however, be brought to trial for crimes against the Constitution ... after they leave office?

Kind regards,
