Jim Webb no longer a contender for VP

We keep scratching names off the VP list. Jim Webb is the latest to join Ted Strickland in the "I'm not going to be VP" statements.

I have said in the past that I didn't think Webb would be a good choice for a vice president, particularly his past views on women.

But I think Webb can be useful in many other ways. His military background served him well in regard to the new GI bill. I also really liked hearing what Webb had to say in his recent "Daily Show" appearance. I think he'll make a good Senator for years to come. But he isn't suited for the VP role.

Could NOT disagree more, Chad re: your 'not suited' assessment of Webb AND your implied negative characterization of his 'past views on women'. That's EXACTLY the type of commentary I'd expect out of a 'low information voter' (read: presses way to explain 'idiots'), and, NOT the kind of input one expects of BuzzFlashians. America loses if Webb is 'off the table'. Kenneth E. Tucker One PISSED OFF Viet Vet ('72-'73)

I AGREE WITH YOU, KENNETH!

AND I'M A WOMAN. I think he's great, but that he has been told he won't get it, so he is "saving face." Too bad for us all!
