Blood for Oil: Record Big Oil Profits Say It All -- A BuzzFlash Editorial

A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

We just had this random thought that we are sure others have pondered.

But isn't it odd that no one has seriously played off of the irony of the double meaning in "Neo-Cons," as in that they really are con artists?

I mean Bush is as worthless as a doorstop in a tornado, and yet he is a great prop for conning many Americans into believing that he is actually interested in their welfare -- when he couldn't care less.

Of course, Bush is just a brain cell-deprived puppet of the real Neo-Con con artists: Cheney, Rove, and Rumsfeld. These three could sell tin siding to a tin siding salesman.

America's economy hums on the art of "the sell." These guys are masters. But usually you get a product that you may not really need, but it works, at least.

These guys have sold America a totaled car without a motor or steering wheel and called it a Jaguar. You get the feeling that they have contempt for all the suckers that they've sold snake oil to -- meaning us.

Why do they disdain us?

Because we are dumb enough to be conned.

It's an age-old story.

It's not just the sheep in the fields that are getting fleeced.

We are.

not only has the bushevik regime sold the american people (in election years) a series of policies which they not only had no intention of seeing through to the end, but those which are of far less relevance to anyone living in the real world than are the issues of our neverending warmongering and how it affects our collective image abroad. issues of abortion rights, gay marriage, and other social concerns are of great importance to many americans; however, our elected "representatives" truly have no desire to pursue the interests of their constituencies regarding these issues or any others, they simply want to stoke the fires of pre-election rhetoric. the fascist right's greatest weapon against us and against truthful access to what is actually transpiring before our eyes in the halls of power is that rhetoric. calling cheney and his cronies conservative is at the peak of this hypocritical and cynical use of the english language, designed to surreptitiously mislead the american people. how can one be considered conservative when he accrues record setting debts and deficits? what is conservative about needlessly spending $250 million dollars a day in a quagmire snafu in iraq? conversely, hannity, limbaugh, coulter, et al have successfully indoctrinated many americans to the effect "liberal" has become synonymous with derangement, homosexuality, weakness, and even the most disturbed insanity. in short, liberal has become a dirty word, while conservative has become a term used with the utmost respect within washington, irrespective of whether it is assigned accurately. until the progressive community addresses these issues of particular language, it cannot hope to fully stem the tide of propaganda spewing forth from tony snow et al. bush is not a conservative, neo or otherwise, he is a fascist neo, living in his own personal, delusional matrix. and this is certainly not a jaguar. the key is to realize that there is no jaguar.
