Former AG Accused of Playing Politics with Justice. It comes as no surprise, Gonzales making promises of bigger and better things, and then not following through! This has been the modus operandi of the Bush/Cheney administration since the get-go!!!

Breaking the law, both morally and literally, has never been something the Regressive Repuglicans have been concerned about! Remembering “presidential election 2000, the Regressive Repuglicans will do whoever, whenever, and whatever it takes to try and win an election, because they obviously believe they are above the law! “$100-a-plate luncheon speech by Sen. John McCain in Ottawa was organized in part by U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins, a former South Carolina lawmaker whom President Bush appointed in 2005 … Wilkins's actions could be construed as a violation of the Hatch Act, which prohibits many kinds of political activities by government employees … Wilkins contacted Thomas d'Aquino, the president of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, to help set up what they described as a fundraiser before McCain's visit.”

When the name “Bush” is attached, you can be sure it will in some way or another go against the Constitution of the United States of America and it will not benefit democracy!!! “Jeb Bush And His Cronies Have Big Plans for Govt.-Funded Religious Schools in Florida. Religious school scheme backed by the former Fla. governor has provoked a church-state showdown with national ramifications … Bush has engineered onto the November ballot two initiatives that would eliminate the state constitution’s strict church-state separation provisions, mandate funding of religion and water down language requiring a quality public school system. For advocates of church-state separation and strong public schools, it’s a political showdown with breath-taking possible consequences. How did the Sunshine State find itself in this predicament? It’s the culmination of a convoluted plot.”

“Six months into his ordeal, the U.S. military determined, there was ‘no definite link or evidence of detainee having an association with Al Qaeda or making any specific threat toward the U.S.’ The U.S. government knew Kurnaz was innocent. Yet they held on to him another three and a half years.” Rather than admit a grave mistake and risk the possibility of exposure, Bush/Cheney and the Bush administration chose to keep an innocent man imprisoned, indefinitely. Any other time, any other place, emphasis here; any other administration and this would certainly be considered a crime against humanity. As such it would be tried and prosecuted, but Pelosi says “IMPEACHMENT is off the table”!!! It seems to me that when a Representative of the U.S. Government does not honor their oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, then that person is also subject to IMPEACHMENT!

Just remember these are the same guys who drummed up the disaster in Iraq, the same guys who advocated war, war, and more war!! They were wrong then and they are wrong now! “… former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton continued his drumbeat for war against Iran.”

So, you think we have gasoline problems now, just wait -- America under George Bush chose to ignore ElBaradei opinions in the run-up to the war in Iraq, and the past 5 years is evidence of what a disaster that was, will ElBaradei again be ignored to our peril??? “The U.N. nuclear watchdog chief warned in comments aired Saturday that any military strike on Iran could turn the Mideast to a ‘ball of fire’”!

“Straight talker,” my rear end, where I come from it’s called lying! When the truth hurts, McCain will lie, in order to weasel out of any situation he finds indefensible!!! “McCain Campaign Lied to Reporter About Public Finance Loan.” Having researched much about John McCain, his whole persona and experience is nothing more than a made for Washington political façade! Ask some guys who know the truth about the real McCain! He has been known to calculate the results of how an action or inaction will affect his public image, he squirms in and/or out of every issue he believes will benefit him, and that certainly is not putting America first!!! When the radical Repuglican pundits and talking heads talk about him doing “the right thing,” believe it, it is always the radical “right thing” he does and that is not good for America, as evidenced by a 12 year Repuglican Congressional majority and the past 8 years of George Bush!

Though I strongly disagree that John McCain was ever a “principled” man, this is one article that really shows his true persona; and believe me when I say he has some nerve calling anyone else a flip-flopper!  “… before he decided that becoming the Republican presidential nominee required him to cozy up to his party's most demagogic extremists and play politics with 9/11 … It was McCain who refused to sanction torture. It was McCain who said Guantanamo detainees ‘have rights under various human rights declarations. And one of them is the right not to be detained indefinitely.’ It was McCain who advocated moving Guantanamo detainees to Kansas' Ft. Leavenworth, where they would come under the certain jurisdiction of federal courts. It was McCain who insisted that we respect the basic rights even of enemies who ‘don't deserve our sympathy’ because ‘this isn't about who they are. This is about who we are.’  John McCain, who are you now?”  John McCain has flip-flopped on every one of these issues and more thus far!!!  He’s nothing more than a radical Regressive Repuglican wannabee George Bush!
