So Let's Get This Straight: The Fix is in

A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

So let's get this straight, yesterday Harvey "Corporate Corruption Consiglieri," the fox Bush appointed to watch over the chicken coop, announced that after one year of required recusal from cases involving former clients, he will now rule on cases involving former clients. (See http://www.nytimes.com/2002/07/18/business/18PITT.html).

Okay, one of Pitt's clients he has, until now, recused himself from judging is Arthur Andersen and its involvement with Enron.

So let's get this straight, on Wednesday, Bush predicted that the S.E.C. would clear Cheney, indicating that Mr. Pitt had already gotten his wink and nod to find a way to apply tar remover from Cheney's slimy corporate record and make him look like an upstanding member of the Rotary club; in short, "exonerate" Cheney or the Bush enforcers will make your life miserable, Mr. Pitt.

So let's get this straight. The accounting firm retained by Halliburton was, you got it, Arthur Andersen. Cheney is being accused of cooking the books and Andersen, once again, looking the other way. In fact in 1996, Cheney appeared on a promotional video praising Andersen (see http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&
u=/ap/20020710/ap_on_go_pr_wh/cheney_video_1
).

So let's get this straight, when you go to the Harken website, who is their accounting firm? Why, Arthur Andersen, of course. As for the current CFO of Harken, "Prior to joining Harken she served as Senior with Arthur Andersen LLP in the energy audit division."

So let's get this straight: the SEC under Poppy Bush chose not to charge Guido Bush with insider trading and late filings. They did not exonerate him, but chose not to put him on trial. The SEC was headed then by a loyal member of the Bush cartel, and the general counsel was the man who served as Junior's personal lawyer.

So let's get this straight, on last Sunday's talk shows, Mr. Pitt calls Dim Son's insider trading scheme "ancient history" and refused to release the records of the S.E.C's investigation of Boy George (for which he was never interviewed).

So let's get this straight, the Bush administration is infested with people who helped fleece Enron investors, and he has a Vice President who headed a company that allegedly cooked the books and used his access to secure government contracts. He has a Secretary of the Army who was at the center of the Enron scam. On Wednesday, Bush promoted the nomination of a Texas judge with Enron ties. You get the picture, the shamelessness of the coziness with people intimately involved with companies involved in corporate corruption and their accounting firms continues unabated in the Bush administration. And Cheney and Thomas "Enron" White made millions of dollars off of their ill-gotten gains.

So let's get this straight, the so-called President of the United States has "forecasted" that his so-called Vice President will be "exonerated" by an "impartial" investigation of his alleged improprieties by an SEC head appointed by the so-called President who defended the accounting firm accused of overlooking the alleged financial shenanigans of the so-called Vice President.

So let's get this straight, one of Andersen's other clients is the Carlyle Group, where Poppy Bush slaves away procuring U.S. government and foreign government contracts for a stake in the company. Until recently, the bin Laden family was associated with the Carlyle group.

You got this straight: the fix is in; it always has been for Junior and loyal members of the Bush corporate crime family.
