| In Case You Blinked, Alberto "Bush Consigliere" Gonzales Indicated that Bush's Illegal Wiretapping Maybe More Extensive Than Previously Revealed A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS In case you blinked, an article in last week's Washington Post revealed that Alberto "Bush Consigliere" Gonzales hinted that the illegal NSA spying program was bigger than had been thought. There's so much going on -- what with Bush giving the green light for atomic weapons to India and videotapes showing him having lied about Hurricane Katrina and having the leadership ability of a mushroom, and the civil war in Iraq starting to turn on full boil -- that the national press hardly had time to notice that Bush's illegal behavior may be -- well -- even more illegal. In layman's term, this means that the Bush administration is probably spying on us, in violation of the law, with more vigor than the New York Times has reported. On top of that, in one of the lesser noted exchanges in the tepid Senate Judiciary questioning of "Torture Boy" Gonzales a few weeks back, Gonzales wouldn't definitively respond to a question regarding whether or not the illegal NSA wiretapping might be being used for purposes other than allegedly thwarting terrorism. In short, Gonzales wouldn't reassure the Senate Judiciary Committee members that Bush Administration spying was not being used for political purposes. Where's the outrage? Heck, it's hard even to find the news coverage. Just more yawning from the national press. Ferreting out crimes against the Constitution is just "so yesterday" among the D.C. press corps. And it could land you on the "B" list at White House parties. A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS |
