In Case You Missed It Over the Weekend, Progressive Talk Show Hosts Pitch In To Support "Filibuster For The Filibuster"

A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

Progressive talk show hosts from all around the nation are coming together to help "The Young Turks" with their "filibuster for the filibuster" of Samuel Alito.

The Young Turks, a radio program featured on Sirius Satellite Radio since 2002, features Cenk Uygur, Jill Pike, and Ben Mankiewitz. On Thursday, January 26th, Cenk and Jill began an on-air 24/7 radio filibuster.

Saturday and Sunday, Thom Hartmann (PDX), Mike Malloy (ATL), Peter B. Collins (SFO), and Brad Friedman (LAX) all pitched in to guest-host the program for a few hours each, so Cenk and Jill could get some sleep. Other progressive hosts are expected to pitch in as the program continues into the week of the probable vote and possible filibuster of Alito on the Senate floor.

Meanwhile, Bob Kinkaid's White Rose Society radio program and www.radiopower.org turned their webstreams over to the Turks' filibuster, as the Turks' stream was crashing from the huge volume of listeners they were getting. www.crystalone.net is also carrying the Turks' stream.

The program can be seen at the Turks' website - www.youngturk.com - and can be heard on the following webstreams:

The show also uses, 24/7, Thom Hartmann's live chat room so listeners can communicate, network, and talk with the show's hosts in real time, and so the Turks' producer can communicate with hosts. That is available at www.thomhartmann.com/chat.shtml.

Drop in and tune in to show your support for this nationwide radio filibuster for the filibuster.
