| Will Babs Bush Once Again Pull Her Son's Butt Out of the Frying Pan by Having His Royal Court Advisors Exiled to the Neo-Con Gulag? Stay Tuned. A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS Will Barbara Bush save her son by banishing the "evil" court advisors of the "dauphin prince"? Oh, dear me, it looks like that's what we are down to as an alternative for "Baby Doc" to back out of the cul-de-sac of failure he's gotten himself into. It's the story of his life. He screws up everything he gets involved with and then his parents or their friends (and most recently Karl Rove) bail him out. This time, he tried to prove he wasn't "weak" like he thought his father was. ("Baby Doc" told royal court hagiographer, Bob Woodward, that he didn't seek advice from his father, but only from a stronger, higher source -- as in God or Dick Cheney.) The problem is that when Bush screwed up his life or failed at business before, people didn't die and America didn't go bankrupt. Barbara's a Dick Butkus type, but she can't bring back the dead or help America crawl out from near insolvency. But "Baby Doc" does seem to think that she wears the pants in the family, so maybe she can help him back-up his car headed toward Hell just a little anyway, although his deathmobile is still going to be stuck in the mud. The only real thing she can do to save him from total ignominy now is get him to strike a deal with Fitzgerald and resign -- as long as he turns over the presidency to the guy he stole it from: Al Gore. Oh, we must be writing this alert from Fantasy Island this morning. Because we woke up and nothing has changed. The cabbage head is still occupying the White House, confusing psychiatric problems (regarding his father) with resoluteness. Not to mention that Baby Doc is certainly cunning and ruthless, but about as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to running anything. He's made incompetence a virtue. A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS |
