Is Thomas Friedman Lying about Wounded in Iraq?

A BUZZFLASH READER NEWS ANALYSIS

BuzzFlash,

In today's NEW YORK TIMES, Thursday October 23, Thomas Friedman's column falsely reports that there are only -

"900 wounded or maimed"

Why the blatant lie?

Why lie when CENTCOM reports more than twice the number of casualties that Friedman reports?

Write or call The NYTimes to complain that Friedman's column is false, and misleading the American public about the true number a American soldier casualties.

* * *

TOTAL US wounded in Iraq since March 20th: 1,938 (Avg. 9.01 per day)

Wounded Totals as reported By Centcom

I just called CENTCOM Phone: (813) 827-5894

As of this am (think she said 7 am) -

From Iraq -

"1,609 wounded in combat, 338 non-combat "

So that totals now 1,947 wounded.
